Issues of Hotel Industry Hotel Industry suffered heavily in the past one and half years due to the impact of Covid-19. Our industry gives employment to highest number of uneducated persons with food and accommodation. We also support farmers by purchasing all their products. Life time once FSSAI license without yearly renewals. 3. Professional Tax deduction to our employees not required upto 30,000/- salary (presently Rs.200/- for 15,000/- salaried employees) 4. GST for commercial gas is @ 18% presently to be made equal to domestic gas which is @ 5%. 5. Unnecessary inspection from Weight & Measurements, Pollution Control Board, BBMP Marshals, Police Department to be avoided. 6. Electricity charges to be reduced at least by Rs.2/- and the tax to be charged @ 4% other than 9%. 7. Highway Authorities collecting very high license fee to be reduced. 8. Excise license fee to be waived off for 6 months. 9. Control on Fuel cost which is increasing abnormally. 10. Rate of all commodities like cooking oil, pulses etc. to be controlled. 11. GST on rentals to be reduced to 5% 12. GST for food up to 1.5 Crores to be done @ 1% (for COT) as done to other traders. 13. Punishment clause in FSSAI, Public Safety Act and Pollution Control Act to be minimised. 14. As we provide free drinking water and toilet facility to all common man, BWSSB must reduce the charges. 15. Electricity fixed charges to be abolished for next 2 years. It is very important that all of us unitedly fight the expected 3rd wave. Let us complete the vaccination for all our employees at the earliest. Maximum importance to be given on hygiene of our premises. Providing hot and healthy food, compulsory mask and social distance, all information posters in place, daily checking the temperature of our employees and guests are very important factors. Avoid all crowding near cash and counters. Provide clean uniforms, hand gloves, aprons, caps etc to all employees. Let us not compromise on quality, service, hygiene and also more important on our selling rate. Self confidence is very essential during this crisis. Health is wealth of our country. All the above matter are very important for the survival of all the industry and business. This also motivate for the new investors in Karnataka. We all are expecting good response from the new Govt. at the earliest. Hope new Chief Minister Mr Basavaraja Bommai will understand the situation and do the needful.
