Der vorliegende Band vereinigt die Referate des 15. Göttinger Workshops zum Familienrecht, der am 20. Oktober 2017 in Kooperation mit dem Verbundprojekt „Macht und Ohnmacht der Mutterschaft“ durchgeführt wurde. Insgesamt acht Beiträge beleuchten die derzeit kontrovers geführte Diskussion um das sog. Wechselmodell aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven: Neben den verfassungsrechtlichen Grundlagen sowie rechtsvergleichenden und interdisziplinären Ansätzen werden auch sämtliche Folgefragen im Unterhalts-, Sozial- und Steuerrecht behandelt. Dabei zeigt sich in aller Deutlichkeit, dass die Defizite in den einschlägigen Gesetzen durch Richterrecht nur teilweise kompensiert und die bestehenden Inkohärenzen nur in Ansätzen behoben werden können. Darüber hinaus werden aber auch gut begründete Vorschläge für eine Reform präsentiert.
