Es ist das Anliegen der vorliegenden Arbeit, die Vorstellungswelt, die mittels des russischen Frauenromans transportiert, affirmiert oder überhaupt erst geschaffen wurde, zu erhellen. Dies geschieht über relativ detaillierte Analysen einzelner Romane, in denen versucht wird, die inhaltlichen Motive, Strukturelemente und sprachlichen Klischees herauszuarbeiten und zu vergleichen. Da die in der Arbeit vorgestellten Autorinnen meist unbekannt sind, wird versucht, in kurzen Abschnitten einen Einblick in das Leben und Schaffen der Autorinnen zu geben.

With this rich anthology of sources, most of which are made available here for the first time, Michele Mancino and Giovanni Romeo add another element to the research project that began with their recent book (Clero criminale. L’onore della Chiesa e i delitti degli ecclesiastici nell’Italia della Controriforma, Laterza, Roma-Bari, 2013, 4th ed.). The two parts document from a range of perspectives the way in which the Tridentine project of combating the common crimes of the clergy was undone before the end of the sixteenth century. Instead, the Roman curia was mainly concerned with enforcing the right of delinquent priests to be judged only by ecclesiastical tribunals, a strategy intended to defend the honor of the clergy that was followed persistently over the long term. The material presented here describes a previously unknown historical precedent for the recent revelations about the treatment of pedophile priests.

Die beschriebene Darstellung wird nach den Grundaspekten des lautsprachlichen Kommunikationsvorgangs vorgenommen: nach dem physiologisch-genetischen, nach dem akustisch-perzeptiven und dem phonologischen.

It enquires into how magazines, a staple form of the promotional apparatus of tourism since its inception, articulated an imaginative geography of Mexico at a time when that industry became a critical means of economic recovery and political stability after the Revolution. Notwithstanding their vogue, popularity, reach, and close affiliations to commerce and state over several decades, magazines have not received any sustained critical attention in the scholarship on that period. This book aims to redress that oversight. It argues that illustrated magazines like Mexican Folkways (1925–1937) and Mexico This Month (1955–1971) offer rich and compelling materials in that regard, not only as unique tools for interrogating the ramifications of tourism on the country’s reconstruction, but as autonomous objects of study that form a vital if complex part of Mexico’s visual culture. Myofibroblasts (MFB) are found in most tissues of the body. They have the matrix-producing functions of fibroblasts and contractile properties that are known from smooth muscle cells. Fundamental work of the last decades has shed remarkable light on their origin, biological functions and role in disease. During hepatic injury, they fulfill manifold functions in connective tissue remodeling and wound healing, but overshooting activity of MFB on the other side induces fibrosis and cirrhosis. The present e-book "Liver myofibroblasts" contains 9 articles providing comprehensive information on "hot topics" of MFB. In our opening editorial we provide a short overview of the origin of MFB and their relevance in extracellular matrix formation which is the hallmark of hepatic fibrosis. Thereafter, leading experts in the field share their current perspectives on special topics of (i) MFB in development and disease, ii) their role in hepatic fibrogenesis, and (iii) promising therapies and targets that are suitable to interfere with hepatic fibrosis.

O objetivo desta coletânea é demonstrar como a organização de corpora linguísticos diferentes atende aos diversos tipos de pesquisa linguística, sejam eles centrados numa mesma língua – abordando diferentes fenômenos dessalíngua – ou focados em outras línguas naturais.A obraagrega sete pesquisas linguísticas de diferentes estudiosos – que se amparam em aportes teóricos também diversos –,as quais têm como base para coleta de dados a organização de algum tipo de corpus linguístico. De enfoque tanto sincrônico quanto diacrônico, de cunho variacionista e também formalista, os trabalhos englobam os quatro níveis básicos de análise linguística: o fonológico, omorfológico, o semântico e o sintático.Talita de Cássia Marine apresenta, no primeiro capítulo, uma análise descritivo-comparativa do sistema de pronomes demonstrativos do Português do Brasil e do Português de Portugal. Ela analisa cartas de leitoras da revista brasileira Capricho, e da portuguesa Ragazza, para caracterizar a configuração, se ternária ou binária, em que se encontram tais pronomes nas referenciações anafóricas no uso contemporâneo da língua.No capítulo 2, Caroline Carnielli Biazolli avalia o uso de textos jornalísticos como fonte de extração de dados para o estudo de processos de variação e mudança linguística. O corpus da pesquisa é uma amostra da língua falada de uma comunidade periférica de São Carlos, interior de São Paulo.As Cantigas de Santa Maria, de Afonso X compostas na segunda metade do século 13 em galego-português, e OsLusíadas (1572), de Camões serviram de corpora para Juliana Simões Fonte e Gladis Massini-Cagliari no estudo apresentado no capítulo 6. As autoras analisam rimas da poesia remanescente de períodos passados da Língua Portuguesa para demonstrar a contribuição de textos poéticos no estudo das vogais do Português Antigo.O último capítulo resume os resultados da tese de doutorado de Daniel Soares da Costa, que organiza a obra. Ele apresenta uma nova proposta metodológica, baseada em uma conexão entre a música e a linguística como ferramenta para a coleta de dados relativos à prosódia de línguas mortas. O autor toma as versões transcritas por Anglés (1943) das cem primeiras Cantigas de Santa Maria de Afonso X para analisar a atribuição do acento lexical e secundário no Português Arcaico.

As the highest internal decision-making body within the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland, the General Synod began, from 1876, congregating in Turku every tenth, and then eventually, every fifth year. By the 1960s, this decision-making system was becoming unsatisfactory. An extensive project to answer to the general ideals of the era and to strengthen the efficiency and democracy of the Church administration was initiated. The reformed General Synod got underway in 1974 with biannual gatherings. It was a body consisting of 108 members, including lay representatives, clergymen and the bishops. The General Synod retained its right to decide on ecclesiastical books and continued to hold the sole right to make proposals regarding the Church Act. A new task was to decide on the budget of the entire Church organisation and to steer the activities of the Church as a whole. Additionally, the General Synod received the general authority to handle any issues related to faith and doctrine, such as ecumenical issues. The book Kansankirkko ristipaineessa (A national folk church under conflicting pressures) takes a close look at the General Synod representatives during the years 19742011 and clarifies who the members of the Synod were, how they were elected and what they achieved. The study examines which of these persons held the most power, and what types of coalitions stood out within the work of the General Synod. In addition, the book aims to provide a general overall picture of the General Synod in relation to the Church, economic life, legislation, theological dialogue and the media. The study examines how well the intentions that drove the reform of the General Synod were realised and whether the General Synod was actually progressing as slowly or as briskly as expressed by different observers at different times. Discussions surrounding female ordination, sexual ethics and ecclesiastical books indicate the position of the General Synod within an increasingly diversified society. During the first decade of the 2000s, the General Synod experienced a similar revolution in terms of values as it had when preparing the reform of the Synod around the turn of the 1960s and 70s. The Church began to find itself once again in a missionary situation.
