Zunächst wird der Frage nachgegangen, welche Bedeutung die Region für die wissenschaftliche Weiterbildung hat und wie sich eine Hochschulregion konstituiert. Dazu werden verschiedene (raum-)theoretische Zugänge skizziert sowie die praktische Implikationen für die Erhebung von Weiterbildungsbedarfen, das Marketing und die Regionalentwicklung diskutiert. Daran anschließend werden die Chancen und Grenzen einer bedarfsorientierten Entwicklung von Studienangeboten aus Perspektive der wissenschaftlichen Weiterbildung diskutiert. Dazu werden auch verschiedene Beispiele für die Studiengangentwicklung aus dem Projekt vorgestellt. Das Projekt wurde gefördert durch das Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF).

Die europäische Integration veränderte die Migrationsverhältnisse erheblich: Zwischen den EU-Mitgliedstaaten wurden unter dem Begriff der „Freizügigkeit“ Grenzübertritte sowie Arbeit und Niederlassung von Staatsangehörigen anderer Mitgliedsländer weitgehend erleichtert, Binnengrenzen verloren also an Bedeutung. Zugleich gewann die Frage des Umgangs mit einer gemeinsamen Außengrenze und der Migration von „Drittstaatsangehörigen“ an Gewicht. Das essential erklärt, warum Migration von außerhalb Europas zunehmend als Problem von Sicherheitspolitik verstanden wurde und wieso diese die Maßnahmen zur Ausgestaltung einer gemeinsamen Außengrenze bis heute bestimmt.

The topic, which has a medical and organizational sociological, an economic and not least a (criminal-)legal dimension, was the subject of the traditional annual meeting of the Göttingen Institute for Criminal Science in July 2016.Die organisatorischen Anforderungen an eine fehlerfreie und effektive Versorgung der Patienten innerhalb eines Großklinikums sind hoch: Trotz aller Bemühungen um eine Verbesserung der Prozessqualität und Etablierung von Risikomanagement- und Reportingsysteme besteht der allgemein Eindruck, dass die Abläufe und kommunikativen Herausforderungen nach wie vor - noch dazu ob des gewachsenen Einflusses des ökonomischen Faktors - fehleranfällig sind: im Zweifel zum Schaden der Patienten. Die Thematik, die eine medizin- und organisationssoziologische, eine ökonomische und nicht zuletzt eine (straf-)rechtliche Dimension hat, war Gegenstand der traditionellen Jahrestagung des Göttinger Instituts für Kriminalwissenschaften im Juli 2016.
