Core body temperature is an aspect of thermoregulation, the body’s ability to control its operating temperature within a constant range. The ideal core body temperature has traditionally been stated as 98.6°F (37.7°C). This stated ideal temperature is in fact the approximate midpoint of the range of optimal temperatures that are sought to be maintained by the body, from a low of 96°F to a maximum of 100°F (36°C to 39°C). Surface Body/Skin Temperature The skin is the largest organ in the human body. It protects the body from the sun’s rays and has a vital role to play in thermoregulation, keeping the body temperature within normal ranges (circa 37 °C). Skin temperature depends largely on air temperature and time spent in that environment. Weather factors such as wind chill and humidity cause changes in skin temperature. Skin temperature oscillates predictably with the time of day. Thus, a healthy temperature at any site is described by a range of values, rather than a fixed value. HSG Look and Go Camera (Thermal and IR Camera) What does this mean? Walking in from extreme heat may cause the skin temperature to be read as higher than it is. In this case the internal body temperature is normal but misread. But a Thermal Camera/Handheld Thermometer which detects skin temperature will show high fever which may not be present. Walking out of an air-conditioned room in to an outdoor environment might deceive skin/surface temperature measurement machines and might appear to be normal. A Thermal Camera/Handheld Thermometer may not detect a fever which is present. The internal body temperature is the most accurate form of checking the temperature. Doesn’t just check the surface body temperature but the closest internal body temperature via lachrymal duct ( tear gland) with an accuracy of +-0.3 C (Degree Celsius). The skin is thin in this area, decreasing the skin’s insulating effect. Thus, providing a more accurate body temperature reading. Studies have shown that there is a correlation between internal/core temperature and facial skin temperature. The maximum temperature measured between the eyes usually provides the best correlation with Internal Core Temperature for the following reasons: ● The ophthalmic artery is located in this area and provides increased blood flow, and heat transfer, to the skin surface. ● The lachrymal duct (tear gland) provides a thermally conductive path to deeper, warmer tissue. ● The skin is thin in this area, decreasing the skin’s insulating effect. ● The inside corners of the eyes are inset and are less affected by the ambient environment. 37*C Internal Temperature with Clinical Thermometer 36.7-37.3*C (Variation of +-0.3*C) With HSG Look and Go Cameras Understanding the temperature error of +-0.3 Degree Celsius Ideal 6-inch distance #3 Feed goes to monitor in 2 secs Scenario 2 Temperature - Normal Guest is allowed to enter via metal detector/main door for security check. Scenario 1 Temperature - High Guest is stopped for medical assistance as alarm rings at 38 degree celsius. #2 Camera scans guest #1 Guest comes within 6 inches of the Camera No human contact happens till the time the person’s body temperature is not normal X No Sunglasses X No Spectacles The guest has to remove all eyewear for accurate scanning Why should I buy HSG Look and Go Camera and not anything else? Because this is one of the only thermal cameras that scans the tear glands and not just the outside body temperature like other cheaper cameras and thermometers on the market. Getting the closest to accurate temperature of the person being scanned is the first step of feeling secure. No Human Contact for Temperature Check Before the guest comes in contact with any staff member from your hotel, restaurant or school, you can be certain about the guest not having fever (unless curbed by eating a medicine which cannot be detected). Why cheap hand-held thermometers are less effective at entry points for hotels etc. ● They only scan surface body temperature ● A person who may have fever may not be detected if coming from an AC environment ● No records or photos are kept for future reference ● These cannot be linked to access control ● Someone has to operate these manually unlike zero contact camera we’re offering Data. Data? ● As a company, we don’t use or store data anywhere and we give our clients the following choice: ○ A computer software in case the client wants to generate print outs Or ○ Cloud Storage in case the client wants to retrieve information Or ○ No data storage and usage for access to venue only Our systems are designed with your privacy and safety in mind .
