They shared amazing journeys and inspiring thoughts with the participants. There was participation from countries like India, France, Mauritius, Kenya Cameroon, and Italy. The session concluded with the thought that the journey of women across the world is similar and the challenges can be overcome with mutual support however the first war to win is within her own self. Misogyny, Gender Bias, Weaker Sex. These are a few attributes, about women, one hears in humongous proportions even in modern day society. Ancient scriptures irrespective of any civilisation, religion or society give ample evidence to believe that women were, are and should be given adequate venerations for the contribution they have been (and are) making towards mankind as a whole. The notable being procreators of this society, effective management of the humanity unit called family and dispensing the society with the psychological directions in many a field. Yet we have cogent evidence of women being maltreated, considered inferior or unable to match the masculinity of the animal called, “Man”. I n foreseeable past, one finds the live examples of illustrious Laxmi Bai Jhansi ki Rani, Jija Bai esteemed mother of Shivaji , Razia Sultan GENDER BIASES RETARDING THE HUMANITY INDEX? resplendent queen of India and many more. During second half of last century, we saw Indira Gandhi PM of India, Golda Meir PM of Israel, Bundara Naike PM of Sri Lanka , Sheikh Hasina PM of Bangla Desh and many more politicians around the world. These women not only were the shapers of destiny of their respective countries but also shuffled the history for the generations to come. I n the contemporary world, we have women in all most all fields, not only moving shoulder to shoulder with their counterparts i.e. Men but in most cases are proving to be better leaders than Men. To name a few Indra Nooyi, Chanda Kochhar, Kiran Majumdar Shah, (all modern entrepreneurs),Kalpana Chawala and Sunita Williams(Astronauts) Anju Jansempa and Arunima Sinha (Everest summiteers with artificial leg), Nirmala Sitharaman and Kamala Harris (politicians) and many more in other fields. N ow the question arises, if these are the women who are far more successful than the men in tow, then how can we underestimate their organisational ability or psychological make up to shape the wheel of the fortune for the humanity? How can we shackle a woman to the four walls of a home when she has proved her mettle to be best in ‘Work Life Balance’ and touched the acme of excellence? How can you undermine a woman when even God himself created her as a biological species, superior than a man? Women around the world probably lost out on the INITIATIVE in the race to positive development. Men exploited this ‘loss of Initiative’ all along since ages till it became an unbreakable shackle over the sub conscious mind of the Humanity. T o undo this mind set, the only option is that women have to stand up to the challenges posed by Male Chauvinistic mentality and face it squarely rather be defensive and put up a petrified facade in front of the pseudo male pride. It is said if you counter challenge the mala fide challenges, they vanish as a matter of psychology. Fear psychosis mongers seldom have courage to stand up and face their fiefdom being questioned. Women are predominantly naturally preferred species in terms of biological make up, organisational skills and managing the mindset of off springs for generations to come. Brigadier Dr Vijay Sagar Dheman is leading Defense and Strategic Expert, prolific writer, National TV News Commentator and Internationally Accredited Life Coach. About the Author - The SANSKARS given by a mother to her children decide the future of mankind. So ALL the WOMEN in the WORLD !!! Wake up and explore yourself in all the domains tightly monopolised by the males in this world. Rise up to challenge the pseudo male bastions squarely and defeat their fake pride and faulty mental makeup. In this regards, the lightening awakening being brought about by the World Association of Women Warriors (WAOW) amongst marginalised women in India is exemplary. The efforts being put in to muster NARI SHAKTI against the societal biases and making them realise their true potential, by Team WOAW led by Ms Shahwar Shohrat, Ms Mamta Godiyal , Mr Shalabh Saigal and other associates are commendable. The society , Men and Women , should come together to augment the efforts of TEAM WAOW to ensure that the marginalised women in India and abroad can lead a fulfilling life and positively contribute to the mankind in a meaningful way to make this world prosperous, happier and an experience worth mentioning The consequences of child abuse for the affected child and for society as a whole are substantial, and education is one of the best ways to prevent this from happening. The earlier we can teach children about the subject of “Body Safety” the better and we have found through the My body is My Body program that using music and simple songs is a great way to teach children. The reason music works is that the children remember the important messages being taught as they are interactive. I am sure you all remember little songs that you were taught as a child, these songs and messages will stay with the children and will also be good grounding for future life lessons. My Body is My Body Program is a musical animated body safety program. It was developed in conjunction with various Departments of Education and Departments of Human Services in the USA. To date the program has been translated into 19 languages and animations have been viewed nearly 750,000 times on YouTube in more than 200 Countries BODY SAFETY MY BODY IS MY BODY We are also working with Shahwar Shohrat and Mamta Godiyal from WAOW (World Association of Women Warriors) where we recently had a great zoom session to introduce how to talk to children and communities about child safety and preventing abuse. The main objective with the MBIMB Program is to empower children so they feel positive about their bodies, and safe in the knowledge that they have someone to talk to if there is a problem. The program is free for everyone to use and can be found at www.mybodyismybody.com Chrissy Sykes is an award winning singer/writer and the creator of My Body is My Body Program About the Author - What to wear to a lunch? Its a question that eats more of our time than the lunch itself. Enough has been written and discussed for dinners and evenings. Enough has been styled as well, to give you a magnitude of it - it even get a genre of it's own - the famous evening dress aka gowns. Lunches on the other hand are more a personal choice and creativity even though its more complicated considering the natural ambient lights and tones - how? just check your selfies taken during lunch and dinner and you'll know the difference. So, what should we do? For starters we need to break the lunches into two broad categories - BUSINESS / FORMAL LUNCHES Considering the setting, formal and a bit official - its recommended to have simple and straight cuts for what you choose to wear. Day time color palate should contain more softer and matte shades. MIDDAY STYLING Even if you want to make a Stylement with a bold red color it can be done with a softer texture of what you are wearing. Yellows and oranges are all weather favorites for days. Pastels are just perfect for such meetings. Accessories must kept to minimum and your hair simple, straight and open. Sunshine makes you shine all by yourself and so, if you must, adorn yourself with small cool looking light earrings and uncomplicated necklaces - makes you look graceful. Make sure to have a matching handbag. It has to match your outfit or your shoes. To complete the look - just put on your lovely smile and you are a diva! FRIENDS & SOCIAL LUNCHES Such settings aren't that restrictive in terms of what you can do with your look. The freedom to experiment and be creative is only limited to synchronizing it with the occasion. You may stick to the sunshine palate of pastels as that's a safe daytime bet however you can extend it with brighter shades, floral and geometric patterns and surely add more oomph to your adornments. If the weather permits, add a contrasting scarf or jackets, either with color or texture - its something that surely makes heads turn and take notice. The closer the company, the more experimental you can be. It's a world where you have to be an individual yet be part of a group - do it with a with Stylement! About the Author - We all talk about women empowerment. It's a big word to deal with but I have seen many taking it so casually. Sometimes, when I say the word "Woman" a picture comes into my mind wherein I see a woman with her following the rules, looking for external approvals, please others and put everybody else before her. Today also, nothing has much changed. We really need to introspect ourselves, understand and accept the fact that we can only grow or be happy when we will start loving ourselves, taking care of ourselves, follow our dreams and not looking for someone to validate our decisions and our lives. WAR WITHIN Mamta Godiya, Founder MaGpie About the Author - Instead of blaming others, we must introspect ourselves and understand one basic thing that Empowerment starts from within. So, Let's first acknowledge the war which is going inside, listen to it carefully and then understand the solution. The day we will win our internal war we will be free from all the barriers and see a new and better version of ourselves, walking on the path of success and happiness.
