Pattern by Sia Rabe - do not sell Size M Face Mask Pattern What do I need? - printer and paper - pen - tape - outer fabric (at least 33cm x 17cm) - lining fabric (at least 33cm x 17cm) -4 straps or 2 elastic bands - scissors - pins -thread -sewing machine - iron 1. Print and cut out the template twice. If you want to make several masks, I recommend transferring it to cardboard, from a pizza carton for example, make sure your printer doesn‘t scale the PDF if you want to use straps and not elastic, cut on the red line, that makes them easier to tie 2. Flip one of the pattern pieces over and tape the two together at the dashed line 3. Transfer the pattern once on your lining and once on your outer fabric, marking the middle of seam B 4. Cut out the pattern with roughly 1cm of sewing allowance Seam A Seam B Seam C Seam D 5. On each pattern piece, pin together seams A, the right side of the fabric facing inwards, and sew it together using a straight stitch 6. Make slits along the sewing allowance each 1-1.5cm just onto the seam and press the seam open, ip it so the right side is now outside and press the seam at (that is quite ddly, don‘t give up!) 7. Pin the two pattern pieces together at seam B, starting at the middle, right sides together 8. Sew, slit the edges and iron them open, ip them and iron them at 9. Pin the two pattern pieces together at Seam C, starting at the middle, marked by the end of seam A, right sides together 10. Sew, slit the edges and iron them open, turn the mask inside out, and iron it at 11. Fold in all the raw edges at the two Seam Ds and iron them at 12. Insert the straps or the elastic in between the two layers and pin them in place 13. Use either a Zig-Zag Stich or two rows of straight stitches to secure them in place and to nish the edges 14. Give the mask a nal iron 15. Admire your work and do a victory pose Pattern by Sia Rabe - do not sell
