Spice Blends Harisa Samia Ahad Preparation Time: 20 minutes Variation: To make salsa al harisa; stir together 2 teaspoon of harisa, 3 tablespoons olive oil, 1 tablespoon lemon juice & tablespoon chopped fresh parsley. 1 ounce dried red chillies 2 cloves garlic 1/2 teaspoon cumin seed, freshly ground 1/4 teaspoon coriander seed, freshly ground 1 tablespoon water 1 tablespoon olive oil, plus extra for topping 1 teaspoon salt 1. Soak chillies in warm water for 1/2 and hour to 1 hour. 2. Drain the chillies, then place in food processor w/ garlic, water & olive oil & process till smooth. 3.
