(The swap from a Fixed lens to a Standard lens is a reversal of this procedure) M-Vision lens types This information is required for DP part number labels that are applied to lenses as part of this process. QI425 Revision A (CN1022) Page 4 of 13 3) Carefully remove the keypad cable connector from the main PCB end. 4) Carefully fully remove the top cover. QI425 Revision A (CN1022) Page 5 of 13 5) Carefully remove the two side screws and the three top screws from the outer front cover and then withdraw the front outer cover. This now exposes the inner front panel. QI425 Revision A (CN1022) Page 6 of 13 6) Carefully remove the four screws from the front face of the inner front panel. 7) Remove the two inner screws from the inner front panel. 8) Carefully remove the front Infra-Red cable from the main PCB board to free the inner front panel. QI425 Revision A (CN1022) Page 7 of 13 9) At this point you will have exposed the Standard lens. 10) Remove the three M4 screws supporting the standard lens. QI425 Revision A (CN1022) Page 8 of 13 11) Carefully remove the standard lens assembly and store in a safe place. 12) Carefully remove the fixed lens from its packaging and remove the small lens cap from the input end of the lens. !!! THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT !!! QI425 Revision A (CN1022) Page 9 of 13 13) Align the 3 off fixed lens securing screw holes and firmly attach the fixed lens to the projector using the three off M4 screws that were previously removed from the Standard lens. QI425 Revision A (CN1022) Page 10 of 13 14) Carefully reattach the inner front panel back on the projector using the six off previously removed fixing screws (two inside and four outside),remember to reattach the front Infra-Red receiver cable back to the main PCB board, 15) Ensure that the black foam seal is sat neatly around the lens and is held between the lens base and the projectors front inner panel. Ensure it is not trapped or folded. 16) Fit a DP part and serial number label to the lens fitted into to the projector (take the serial number info from the lens packaging box). Print the part and serial numbers onto a small silver anti-tamper label and fix onto the lens so that it does not show outside of the projector chassis. On the fixed lens fit the label to the top of the square housing in the position as illustrated. QI425 Revision A (CN1022) Page 11 of 13 17) Carefully replace the front cover using the two previously removed side screws and the three top screws for the outer front cover (original standard lens shown in photos below). QI425 Revision A (CN1022) Page 12 of 13 18) Carefully replace the top cover, remembering to reconnect the keypad cable to the main PCB. 19) Replace the three off previously removed screws from the rear of the M-Vision projectors top cover. QI425 Revision A (CN1022) Page 13 of 13 20) Overlay the rear projector DP part number label with the correct DP part number for the lens type fitted. Print the part number onto a small silver anti-tamper label. Position the label to overlay the original part number (original part number position shown in photo). 21) Fit a part and serial number to the lens removed from the projector (in a position that would not be seen if the lens was fitted into a projector) and alter the label on the packaging box to reflect the lens removed from the projector. Place the lens in the packaging box. 22) Fit new carton labels to the projector packing box that have the part number of the newly created projector / lens combination. 23) Fully test the projector, ensuring that you are vigilant for lens alignment issues.
