Photography by Frederick Wilfred (1925-2010) It’s been a flourishing hub for trade as well as for creatives. In 1864, Sir George Barham founded Express Dairies, bringing milk to London by express locomotive and operating a successful dairy business in Bloomsbury’s Wakefield Street.
