This project focused on brand identity and pack- age design. Together it contains the packaging for a mouse, a key- board, mouse-pad, promotional poster, shirt, and brand signage. The design is eye catching and stands out against stereotypical gaming equipment branding. My final designs utilized line and color as the main force. A neon green paired with a bright orange to create huge contrast with and bring attention to everything created for the brand. These people would drive a default sedan, any car you would typical- ly see in day-to-day life. They would have a gaming chair and likely a gaming set up. These people would be young and in school or work simple entry level positions in places like warehouses, fast food, air- ports, and restaurants. Their favorite activities would include playing video games, and perhaps board games. These people could be sin- gle or in a relationship but likely not yet married. Their music taste would include indie or alternative. -gaming equipment brand -tech based identity -futuristic -colorful/bright -portable Ultra Lightweight mouse, box, and carrying case Audience Targeting Proposal and Tone Board 6 Anthropology Magazine 02 Anthropology Magazine This project centered around creating a magazine destined to please design and plant enthusiasts alike. The magazine featured a section of pages with varied articles and pieces which allowed for the framework of a well balanced set of spreads. My magazine focused on a layered visual collage style with a plant based theme. My magazine went though a lot of stages from laying out the spreads to ensuring the prints would work, all furthering my typesetting and book design skills. They required the construction of a break responsive, standards compliant, and HTML and CSS-based multipage micro-site for their ex- position featured in Northern Kentucky. My final website played on a combination of photography and illustration. The imagery served to create a seamless and memorable experience. The poster can be displayed on either side without obscuring specif- ic vital information like events, names, and dates, all while being visually engaging in different ways. My final poster utilized typeset, color, and illustrative elements to create hierarchy and indicate events and special features the library had to offer. I aimed to build their brand identity within this work, and set a tone for the type of company ASTRO wanted to be. My final package utilized transparent dyes in the printing process that are both cheap and not often seen in packaging. The package is intended to be used multiple times. Once to be delivered to the photographer, and once for sending back for development of the film. It was easier to line up if it was all printed on one connecting section. Second Mockup and Prototype Further Branding Trial Print Instructions Final Prototype Printing Instructions The die is laid out with a front and back, or inside and outside. This is because the glue goes on the inside of the package, as well, the inside of the package being printed onto. The colors used for printing include only spot sempletone+ colors. They will all be printed with an overtone. The package is going to be printed on 0.016” thick paperboard. There is a mock texture in the die file to show what the overtone will look like on paperboard; the cardboard texture in the file is not to be printed. Sustainability The package is to be printed on PakFactory Natural Brown Kraft Paperboard which is a 100% recyclable material. It is a brown color that comes from recycled paper and has no chemical additives. The package is intended to be used to return the film for development after it has been shot on. This makes it possible to get 3 uses out of the box: to the customer with blank film rolls, back to ASTRO with exposed film rolls, and lastly back to the customer with the cut negatives. The last of which may require an additional package carrying prints or anything else the customer may order. This, however, is a good attempt at cutting down on package production and waste. This app is a photo sharing app that pivots itself on the world through a lens. My app ultimately landed on a social media style platform that allows users to connect through shared and featured images which catalogue date, time, and location to share with other photographers.
