VACANCY – SOCIAL MEDIA & PLAYER RECRUITMENT OFFICER WHO ARE WE? Launched in March 2020 by UEFA A Licensed Coach Mark Muddyman, Player Plus Football Academy replicate a professional academy environment providing young grassroots players of all abilities with #TheAcademyExperience Based in Birmingham, Player Plus FA have gone from strength to strength progressing 2x players into pro clubs, advancing numerous players on to pre-academies and launching a 2nd night of training (Futsal Wednesday's). Operationally our aims for the coming seasons are to; • Establish a development & performance group at each age group by improving our player recruitment • Develop a high-quality social media presence (regionally) across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & TikTok • Host events which raise awareness of PPFA, drive recruitment & improve our player development experience (games, festivals, events etc) WHAT IS THE ROLE? Player Plus FA are actively looking to hire a Social Media & Player Recruitment Officer on a part-time basis. The successful candidates roles & responsibilities will include; Player Recruitment • Manage player recruitment in line with our above aims • Identify talented players for PPFA, who later show potential to progress into professional academy football • Event organisation (games/festivals/showcase events) • Recruit in person (e.g. attend local games) & online (social media) The successful candidate will be mentored by a scout who currently works for Manchester United Football Club. FA Talent Identification courses may be funded (if of interest to the candidate). Social Media • Capturing high quality image & video content at PPFA events (2x Monday's per month, 2x Wednesday's per month – venue: B32 1RJ) • Graphic design & video editing of social media posts (candidates with limited experience in this area will be considered) • Management of PPFA social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok) • Build an unrivalled online presence in the Midlands area WHAT DOES THE ROLE LOOK LIKE? (E.G. SCHEDULE, PAY, BENEFITS) Work Schedule The successful candidate will be required to attend 2x Monday's per month & 2x Wednesday's per month @ Four Dwellings Academy, Quinton, B'ham, B32 1RJ (capturing image & video content) from 6.00-8.00pm. The appointed candidate will be required to attend local grassroots training & fixtures on a flexible, adhoc basis when available (midweek & weekends) in order to identify players & distribute marketing materials. The remainder of the hours can be completed from home via a flexible schedule. Hours per week: 8.5 Rate of Pay: £9.00 per hour Contract: 6-months (Please note: The contract is 6-months initially as it is a brand new role. Subject to performance, this will roll going forwards on a 6-monthly basis with potential to become more permanent in the future across Player Plus Football Academy & an other business - Futbol Lingo). Bonuses: Negotiable subject to performance THE CANDIDATE We are seeking a motivated, hard-working and reliable individual who is willing to work flexibly (on site & remotely) to create a unrivalled online presence and drive player recruitment. Candidates must possess; • A passion for football, player recruitment & development • An interest in social media marketing & business development • Ability to capture high-quality photo & video • Basic understanding of graphic design & video editing for social media posts (candidates will be considered with limited skills in this area) • Strong understanding and familiarity of social media platforms • High attention to detail • Confident communication skills • A willingness to speak with club managers & parents via phone & in person • Professionalism and integrity • Motivation to attain targets • Ability to meet deadlines (if/when required) This role is ideal for a student or University graduate with aspirations of working in Talent Identification, Player Recruitment, Social Media Marketing or Football Operations. Contract length: 6 months Part-time hours: 8.5 per week Job Types: Part-time, Contract Salary: £306.00 per month COVID-19 considerations: This role is able to be carried out whilst social distancing.
