Isaiah 40:1-5, 9-11, Ps 85:9-14, 2 Peter 3:8-14, Mark 1:1-8 Always Prepared Be watchful! Be ready! This is Jesus’ message to all of us on this First Sunday of Advent. The reason is because we don’t know the time when Jesus will come. Advent comes from the Latin word “adventum” which means ‘coming’. The question is “Who is coming?” Many will say that it is the coming of Jesus on Christmas Day. But Jesus had already born two thousand years ago. Advent for us is not only the coming of Jesus on Christmas day but it is also about His second coming on the last day. Since we have no idea as to the time of the Parousia or second coming of Jesus, so it makes sense that we should always be prepared. On His second com- ing, Jesus will no longer saves us but He will come again to judge us. *********************************** Prayer Request for the Sick Please pray for the following individuals, that they may be healed by the Grace of God: Imelda Sandate, Diane Galindo Salinas, Mary Diane Rios, Michelle Rodriguez, Charlie & Dora Carrasco, David H.
