Terms and Conditions Advo Education Centre Pte Ltd LEARNING RESPONSIBILITIES GST Reg. No. 200710217Z All lessons will start and end as scheduled. Lesson timings must be strictly adhered to and students must be punctual. Parents should inform us of their child’s examination performance after every exam. This serves as a form of feedback, allowing us to better understand your child’s strengths and weaknesses. We will then be better equipped to assist him/her in their next examination. There will be a Coaches-Meet-Parents session conducted during the year, and parents are highly encouraged to participate in these sessions. Parents will be informed of the dates in advance. CLASS ARRANGEMENT Class Type Number of Students Mini-Group 3-6 Group 7 -15 FEES POLICY 1. Course fees for regular classes will be collected on a term basis. Each term consists of 2 calendar months. The billing cycle is seen below: Term Month Programme January Term 1 February March Power Coaching Term 2 April March School Holidays: Power Up Day [Event] May Term 3 June July Critical Year: Power Revision /Power Coaching Term 4 August Non-Critical Year: Power Coaching September Critical Year: Power Mock Term 5 October Non-Critical Year: Intensive Revision / Power Coaching November Term 6 Power Coaching December *Schedule is subjected to change in the months: March, June, September and October. 2. Fees will be charged based on the monthly rate, which is derived from the sum of 4 lessons per month. 3. There will be NO LESSONS on Public Holidays. No make-up lessons will be provided except for students under Individual lessons. Please take note that in months with 5 weeks, there are NO LESSONS ON THAT 5TH WEEK. This is applicable to all class types. 4. A payment notice will be sent through email two weeks before the start of a new term. Payment has to be made on or before the first lesson of the term. 5. Should the centre fail to receive any course fees, the centre reserves the right to terminate a student’s class until further notice. Lessons will only resume upon full payment of the outstanding amount. No makeup classes will be conducted for the lessons missed. 6. In the event of additional Power Coaching lessons (as requested by the student or coach), fees for the additional lesson(s) will be charged. 7. Subsequent Subject Discount is only applicable to Programmes (e.g. Power Revision or Intensive Revision). 8. There is a fixed annual, non-refundable administrative and material fee of $100.00 (exclusive of GST) per student yearly. If the student decides to withdraw then rejoins, the fee will still be applicable. 9. Payment can be made by Cash, NETS, Cheque or Credit Card (above $2,000). Cheques should be crossed and made payable to Advo Education Centre Pte Ltd. 10. For Internet Bank Transfer (IBT), the details are as follows: Payee Name: Advo Education Centre Pte Ltd, Account Number: DBS Current Account 010-902045-4. 11. At the end of each academic year (latest by 15 Dec), parents who wish to continue their child’s coaching program should reserve a seat for their child by registering for the first term of the following year. WITHDRAWAL POLICY 12. In the event of withdrawal, parents must inform the Management in writing or email ([email protected]) ONE month in advance, and the student will be required to complete the Term. Should the student terminate lessons during the term, neither the course fee nor administrative fee is refundable. In the event, you are unable to get us at this email address, please call us directly at 8233 2753. 13. However, should the coach decide that it is in the child’s best interest to withdraw, the balance of fees will be refunded for this case. DEPOSIT REFUND POLICY 14. There is a fixed refundable deposit of $150.00 (no GST) per subject per student which will be collected upon registration. 15. The deposit is not to be used to offset any course fee payable during the withdrawal notice period. 16. For students who have served sufficient written withdrawal notice, the deposit will be returned to the parents in the form of a refund cheque within thirty (30) days from the last day of the withdrawal month, provided there are no outstanding fees, otherwise the deposit will be used to deduct any outstanding amounts of any kinds owed to the centre. 17. For students taking PSLE/O Level/ A Level subjects, the deposit would be used to offset the FINAL fee payable for that year. ABSENCE POLICY 18. (a) A student who is unable to attend a lesson must (1) inform operations at least 24 hours* in advance in writing (e.g. Email, SMS or WhatsApp) and (2) produce valid proof (e.g. Medical certificate, letter from school) of reason for not turning up. Letters from parents are not accepted. Failure to meet any of the two abovementioned conditions will result in a forfeiture of payment for said lesson. *Reasonable mitigating factors such as sudden illness can be considered on a case-by-case basis if notification is less than 24 hours in advance. (b) Students who fulfil both above mentioned conditions for absence will be entitled to a makeup lesson (based on content missed, rather than number of hours missed) within 2 weeks of the date of the missed lesson. The student is expected to take the initiative to schedule the makeup lesson within 2 weeks. Should the student fail to do so, or in the unlikely event that he is unable to attend any of the suggested timeslots, the lesson will be forfeited. (c) In event that your child is absent for the first two weeks of term without notification. we will assume that you wish to withdraw him/her from the programme. However, we will hold your child’s place if you have paid the fees in full for the term. OPERATING HOURS 19. Our regular Office Hours are as follows: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 1.30pm – 9.30pm, and Saturday and Sunday: 9.00am - 6.15pm. 20. We are closed every Monday, Wednesday and Public Holidays. 21. The operation hours of our front desk is as follows: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 1.30pm – 9.00pm, and Saturday and Sunday: 9.00am – 6.00pm. COPYRIGHT POLICY 22. All materials and information from our centre are protected by the Copyrights Amendment Act. Any person/party found to reproduce, copy, disseminate, use or cause to be used any of our materials, knowledge or information shall be liable for compensation to Advo Education Centre Pte Ltd. The company reserves the right to take all necessary legal actions against any person/party who has infringed these copyright rules. MISCELLANEOUS 23. While the Management will exercise due professional care and diligence in ensuring the welfare of all students, the Management will not be held liable for any accidents sustained in the centre’s premises, nor be held responsible for the child’s welfare within the centre’s premises. Students are advised to look after their valuables. 24. The centre reserves the right to terminate a student’s Academic Coaching Programme without prior notice if they fail to meet any of the conditions stated above. 25. The Management reserves the right to revise the Terms and Conditions.
