As we move into the final months of winter, it’s possible that at one time or another in these last few weeks you’ve felt isolated in your home or overwhelmed by daily tasks such as going to the grocery store or clean- ing the house, and you may be wondering who to ask for help. By calling our Agency on Aging you can learn what the Aging Network of services has to offer you. Services include transportation assistance, companion and respite care, home-delivered meals, and homemaker services. These services are designed to help you orga- nize transportation to doctor appointments, provide com- panionship, offer assistance to caregivers, deliver meals to your door, and do light housework. If you’re having a problem that you don’t see the solution to, please call us anyway. We will listen to your story and find assistance for you. Every county has at least one Coordinated Point of Entry provider. What this means is that there is “no wrong door” when you’re seeking assistance. They pro- vide person-centered services, tailored to your individual preference. We want your mind to be at ease, and we want to answer any questions you might have. Call us, before you’re in need, to learn about services for older adults, persons with disabilities, their caregivers, and grandpar- ents raising grandchildren. We will advise you on which of the many services available in your community will best be able to help you.
