Our goal is for everyone to feel comfortable at their workplace and to enjoy sustainable health – physically as well as mentally. Offices are becoming places of collaboration, networking, and creativity. They are the anchor for our hybrid working model and will reflect our shared values even more strongly than before. Of course, we also have consideration for those where home office is not an option and for whom work is tied to a location, for example airline crew or retail colleagues. At TUI, we know people are as diverse as the destinations we send our customers to. Just as travel is about exploration, we are on a continuous journey to make our work culture more inclusive. A sense of togetherness and belonging drives our team culture. WELCOME TO TUI — APRIL 2022 OUR DNA WELCOME TO TUI YOUR FIRST DAY HOW CAN I GET THERE? WELCOME TO TUI — APRIL 2022 YOUR FIRST DAY WELCOME TO TUI WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE, AND WHAT EQUIPMENT WILL I RECEIVE? As you’ll be aware, you’ll be training with us from home, but will collect equipment from our office (details on how to get here are provided in the previous page). You’ll need to be at our office for 10 AM on Tuesday. Our IT Team will be on hand to support you, ensuring you can login to your laptop and check all systems are working. On your first day with us, you’ll need to bring a bag so that you can comfortably take your new equipment home with you. As your first training session doesn’t begin until 1 PM , you’ll have plenty of time to grab some- thing to eat and get ready to begin your training. WHAT SYSTEM WILL WE USE WHEN TRAINING? We’ll be using Microsoft Teams as our remote classroom. It’s a user friendly system that allows our trainers to share their screens with you, so that you can view all the content you need to see. With the headset and webcam function you will be able to see and speak with your trainer, and new trainees. WHAT YOU’LL LEARN At TUI we use a multitude of systems, ranging from internal systems used to handle flights, accommodation, excursions and insurance. In addition to being shown the internal systems we have, you’ll be able to practice using some of the systems and sites our customers use to book with us. As part of the training we’ll use different techniques known as Experiential Learning , where you’ll have a go at the system without any prior knowledge. As well as Experiential Learning we’ll use a Blended Learning approach. This is a mixture of video demonstrations and practical work. WELCOME TO TUI — APRIL 2022 YOUR FIRST DAY WELCOME TO TUI ADDITIONAL INFORMATION DRESS CODE We’re a holiday company and that means we’re pretty easy going and we like to think that our great atmosphere and friendly approach reflects that. It’s important to remember though that our brands are also professional, trustworthy and business - like. To mirror this, whilst we’re not really a ‘dress code’ kind of company, we do have a smart casual policy in place for the shifts you’ll be coming to the office (as discussed with our Recruitment Team). Trousers — As long as they're smart and clean, then anything from skinny jeans to tailored trou- sers is fine. Providing they're not sportswear, ripped or low slung, then they're alright by us. Shorts — For those rare days when we have glorious sunshine then tailored shorts are fine - but denim, cargo, beach, sports shorts and hot pants are not. Tops — If it's clean, smart and doesn't flash too much flesh then you're pretty much good to go. For the record though, when it comes to plunging necklines, cropped lengths, strapless tops, and sportswear (including football shirts) - just say no. Skirts and Dresses — You probably get the drill by now, we're a place of work so super short lengths and super tight fits are on our ‘What Not To Wear List Just think about what is and isn't appropriate for a work environment. Footwear — We know we're a holiday company, however flip flops, sandals and sliders aren’t ac- ceptable. When it comes to shoes, as long as they're clean and smart and have a back to them then most other footwear is fine. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION WELCOME TO TUI YOUR TRAINER — BETHAN McCORMACK I have worked for TUI for 4 years, having worked in many different departments which has given me the experience to gain lots of knowledge. I have lived in Swansea all my life and moved around a few times in the last two years but have finally settled in my beautiful little home with my partner. Two things I love are cheese bites and gin! 9 times out of 10 if you ask me what I’ve had for lunch or plan on having for tea I will say cheese bites! I don’t tend to watch a lot of movies, however I do enjoy some documentaries and from 7 till 9 it’s all about the soaps! Keeping up to date with the Cobbles and Albert Square is a must. Teaching people is one of my most loved passions so I’m so excited to be a part of this journey with you.
