Communications & Social Media Officer February 2022 Background: St Pauls Carnival CIC is looking to strengthen its team ahead of the 2022 event. Communication is a key component of our work and this position is vital to ensure that we are able to deliver important information to our stakeholders, community and audience. Role: The role is to be the inspiration and drive behind St Pauls Carnival communications and social media output. This is the sharp end of delivery, working to our overall comms strategy with additional focus on website and content creation. We would also like to see the successful applicant developing our comms into the community we serve. What We Are Looking For: St Pauls Carnival is a well loved cultural event with its roots in the African Caribbean community of St Pauls. It is vital for the success of the event that it remains true to its roots and closely linked to its cultural heritage. You will be enthusiastic, imaginative, and energetic with a ‘can do’ attitude, able to confidently work as part of a team or individually. Working closely with the executive director and board member with strategic lead for communications, you will have the ability to problem solve and take ownership of tasks. A shared passion for the work of the organisation and cultural arts would be beneficial too.
