CALL FOR SUBMISSION – THE NORWEGIAN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL The 50 th Norwegian International Film Festival will take place on August 2 0 - 2 6 . New Nordic Films opens on Tuesday, August 2 3rd , and there will be a joint closing ceremony with the festival on Thursday, August 2 5 th Accreditations are now open and so are our Call for submissions to The 6 th Books at Haugesund. Following last years’ success with more personal meetings between literary agents and producers, we have decided to continue with the format of one - to - one speed meetings and are currently calling for literary projects suitable for the big screen. We invite you to submit a synopsis and relevant information of up to two chosen books that will form the basis of the one - to - one meetings. The selected projects will then be sent out to the producers before the festival and based on the producers’ feedback we will put together your private meetings . You will of course be welcome to schedule your own meetings with other producers attending the festival as well. Participant’s list will be sent out before the festival. In addition to the closed one - to - one meetings, we are planning a short seminar around th e topic of books and films followed by a presentation of the agents . This will give you an opportunity to meet other producers and film industry For the selected project, the f estival will offer : • Travel and a ccommodation for 2 nights for one literary agent ( 2 3 - 2 5 August) • Breakfast at the hotel, daily lunch and evening meals • Festival accreditation giving free admission to all screenings, seminars, events and activities Books at Haug e sund pitch and one - to - one meetings will take place on Wednes day 2 4 th August Company information and short synopsis will be published on our website well ahead of the festival.
