Burma Rally 19th January 2020 Sponsored by Bed & Breakfast Crn Guyton & St Hill Streets Ph 06 345 0955 Friday 17th January: 5:30pm O ffi cial Vintage Weekend Launch and Burma Rally Meet and Greet in the Jubilee Room, The Grand Hotel, corner of St Hill and Guyton Streets. Finger food will be served, cash bar available. Saturday 18th January: 8:30am Rivercity Market opens on the Riverbank. Vintage Weekend activities continue throughout the day. 8:00am-4:00pm Victoria Ave. Please be parked by 9.00am. Follow instructions from marshalls and park in especially designated areas for display. Look for the VCC sign to collect rally packs. Enjoy the Wheels on Victoria Ave Car Show, Caboodle Street Carnival, period clothing stalls and lots more. 4:00-5:00pm Classic Cruise. Meet at the Mitre10 carpark. Entry off Taupo Quay or Heads Road. Pay $5 to the Vintage Weekend Trust, on site, to be in the spot prize draws. 6:30pm The Grand Hotel. Enjoy a, prebooked, light dinner in the main dining room, full cash bar available . The Classic Cruise prize draws will be announced after 7pm. Sunday 19th January: Bring your own picnic lunch and tea/coffee making gear including your own thermos of hot water. Rally packs can be collected from the Tail End Charlie at the start of the rally. 8:15am Assemble on Taupo Quay, by Moutoa Gardens. Follow parking instructions from the marshalls. 8:45am Briefing, all drivers and navigators must attend. 9:00am First vehicle away, starting times as indicated on your rally pack. The rally will finish with afternoon tea at the Clubrooms, Patapu St. Wanganui East. The Parts Shed will be open during this time. 6:00pm Pre dinner drinks at the Laird Park Bowling Club (entry from Blind Foundation and Netball Courts carpark, Peat St). 6:30pm Dinner and Prize Giving. We encourage period costume to be worn at Rally and Vintage Weekend activities, however it is not essential. Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed lady and gentleman at the prize giving dinner. Monday 20th January: Bruce’s Wellington Anniversary Day Run 9:00am Meet at the Cornmarket Reserve, corner of Somme Pde and Dublin St. The weekend will end with a late morning tea provided, at a special place of interest. VCC members and Burma Rally vehicles play an important part in the weekend. Entrants are invited to display their vehicles, enjoy Vintage Weekend activities as well as taking part in the Burma Rally. This rally is open to vehicles as defined in the rules of The Vintage Car Club of New Zealand (Inc.) 2. Eligible entrants must be current financial members of The Vintage Car Club of New Zealand (Inc.), or overseas residents who are members of a recognised Antique Motoring Club. The entrant must either be the driver/ rider, navigator or passenger of the vehicle entered. Invited guests are deemed Non Competitive and should not interfere with the competitive section of the rally. 3. Actions that may bring The Vintage Car Club of New Zealand (Inc.) into disrepute will incur disqualification. 4. We prefer that you carry a fire extinguisher. 5.
