Dear Participants of the Nan-Sang Ho Memorial Tournament, We are thrilled to see such enthusiasm for our tournament. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to all the fencers who not only come out to compete, but who also put in the time and energy required to make an event like this possible. We know how much work goes into it. With that in mind, we kindly ask the following of all fencers in this year’s tournament: 1. Exercise control. Please avoid excessive force and clobbering. Nan-Sang would not have wanted to see the sport reduced to rough-and-tumble. We encourage displays of skill over displays of strength. 2. Maintain decorum. We ask that there be no swearing on the piste. Nan-Sang valued treating the sport with dignity and respect. 3. Return all trophies. Winners will have their names engraved by us, but the trophies themselves hold great significance to the family and must not be taken home. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We wish all competitors the very best of luck this year. Sincerely, The Estate of Nan-Sang Ho
