PACKING GUIDE – FOR CLIENTS PACKING THEMSELVES Before you start: Don't leave everything to the day before the move. Packing can be started (of unessential items) several weeks before the move. Make a priority packing list. Take some time to sift through your belongings and have a clear-out. You can make up a box for charity and if you have time, hold a car boot sale or log onto an online auction. Calculate how many boxes you will need and get these well in advance. We can help you calculate this and supply these and any other packing materials (tape, bubble wrap and paper) Use self-seal bags for keeping nuts and bolts. Boxes need to be filled (this helps with stacking and stops boxes collapsing) Please use small boxes for heavy items e.g. books and larger boxes for light items e.g. cushions. Please uses boxes fit for purpose. Please note we are unable to move due insurance stipulations, hazardous materials, such as paint, petrol and oils. It is advisable to not pack half used bottles of cooking oils etc, as these do have a tendency to leak.
