Canned Goods is a creative venture in which I repurpose discarded military shells into decorative, edgy containers for use by my interior design business on Martha’s Vineyard. I also saw my search and conversion of these unused materials as doing the planet a favor. Canned Goods - or ‘Battled Art’ - offers a new and exciting opportunity to Define Your Space. By turning these canisters into functional art, permanent waste is transformed into something that can be enjoyed and used every day in your home or business. Each canister is hand painted, sealed with a protective coat, and embellished with colorful hand-wrapped leather handles. Most canisters are watertight; clear liners are available as a backup. Every blemish and dent is distinct - no two containers will ever be the same. A few of the endless uses for Canned Goods: Decorative waste bins that can slip into a tight spot or stand next to a tall dresser Personalized flower containers for weddings, special events, or fresh picked garden bouquets Yard Essentials - suntan lotion, tick/bug spray, toys for your pup, golf balls, etc Tabletop ice bucket or catchall for beach soirees and seafood dinner remnants Front entry vessels for umbrellas, walking sticks, tennis rackets, etc Craft Room – organize your art supplies and tools Canned Goods BY ANNIE PARR
