Marketing Coordinator Job Description Purpose: To promote GreenTop Grocery, both in-store, online and in the community, as a healthy, attractive, vibrant community hub. Status: Full Time. Hourly. Reports to General Manager The Marketing Coordinator’s responsibilities include: Planning and Budgeting - Plan and coordinate the daily, weekly, monthly, and annual marketing activites required to achieve sales goals - Develop and execute an annual marketing plan to support the strategic priorities and objectives of the co-op - Administer marketing budget - Develop marketing, advertising, event, and promotional calendar used by leadership team and board Promotions and Project Coordination - Coordinate and participate in regular store promotions planning to ensure appropriate and effective strategies are used to execute the brand within the store and externally - Create weekly sales flyer - Prioritize signage needs and provide requested signs in a timely and accurate manner - Work within brand standards to create materials (such as local profiles, specials flyers, coupons, brochures, recipes, etc.) to support promotional plans and operational needs - Coordinate production and delivery of marketing materials as needed; engaging with appropriate vendors to solve problems and determine the best means of production for all graphic materials, with responsibility for timeliness and completeness of delivery - Use National Co+op Grocers promotional planning tools, templates and programs whenever possible - Ensure operations staff have access to consistently branded sign-making templates - Audit sales floor signage on a regular basis to ensure quality and consistency - Coordinate in-store events, such as active samples and celebrations - Keep staff informed of promotions and other upcoming promotional events External Communications - Create and publish a robust calendar of daily posts on Facebook and Instagram to support sales objectives and reinforce positive brand perception - Issue weekly sales email - Maintain a consistently branded website with current deals, menus, events and store information - Utilize appropriate advertising within the budget to support organizational growth objectives - Maintain and monitor channels of communication with owners and shoppers, including surveys, online reviews, shopper comments, and social media interactions, and ensure responses from appropriate staff. - Seek out and respond to the media to obtain favorable coverage - Administer donations program within desired parameters - Foster connections with the community through sponsorships and events to support brand objectives. Owner Services - Administer membership benefits, such as coupons, special offers and discounts - Achieve ownership growth objectives through ongoing ownership promotion and annual ownership drives, in coordination with front end - Issue regular owner communications - Plan and execute annual owner meeting - Support owner campaigns and annual board of directors elections Other Responsibilites - Participate in leadership team meetings. - Model customer service standards in all interactions with shoppers, vendors, staff and other stakeholders. - Other duties as assigned.
