Call for Applications If you are a social impact storyteller or a change-maker in the domain of gender, send your entries by 15 February, 2021 We invite you to apply to Good Pitch Local Deccan, scheduled for A UGUST, 2021 in a virtual edition. Do you have a short form project – documentary, podcast, photo essay, comic strip, or any non-fiction media – on the subject of gender equity based in the Deccan region, that can drive positive change? Good Pitch Local can help bring together allies towards a greater good in the state. Send in your application, or simply drop us a line, and we'll be happy to chat about possibilities for your project. Good Pitch Local welcomes content across all social justice causes focusing on local communities in Deccan, encompassing the states of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. Once selected, we invite the media maker/ project team to attend two mentoring sessions where they are trained to develop strategies while connecting with prospective attendees including a dynamic community of media makers, lawyers, funders, educators, policy makers, innovators & journalists at Good Pitch Local Deccan in October 2021. Activists, Brands, Educators, Filmmakers, Foundations, Non-profits, Lawyers, Media makers, Media Platforms, Philanthropists, Policymakers, Press, etc. HOW DOES IT WORK? ● An equal number of media makers and organizations pitch their latest project and most passionate ideas in an expertly moderated program of three-minute pitches and audience engagement. ● A carefully curated mix of 170 people are invited to attend. ● Potential participants submit project ideas in advance, up to 16 projects are selected to pitch. ● A mix of national and local experts present case studies, opportunities and good ideas. WHO PITCHES? MEDIA MAKERS with new projects that are deeply relevant to their community CHANGE-MAKERS and community leaders who are advancing social justice, equity and social good WHAT IS PLEDGED? ACCESS to resources that support creation, distribution and outreach FINANCIAL RESOURCES often in the form of micro-grants of $500 - $1,000 PARTNERSHIPS that strengthen campaigns and movements TIME & EXPERTISE individuals commit their skills, talent and experience
