Fall 2020 Asnuntuck Community College Emerging Leadership Program Sign up now for “Launch Your Leadership Journey,” a 3- month, tuition-free leadership development program for ACC female students. The fall 2020 program will be Sessions meet virtually on Saturdays virtual. It can be accessed via a tablet, laptop or desktop Fall 2020 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. computer. September 12 th – December 5 th This is an experiential program designed for a maximum (No class Saturday, November 28) of 20 students. There are no papers, no tests, no textbooks, and no fees. Outstanding local women leaders will Kick-off Reception: facilitate the sessions and provide mentoring during the Friday, September 11 ~ 6:00-7:30 p.m. program. Sessions feature leadership knowledge, skills, and Graduation: attitude-building seminars. Topics include leadership Friday, December 11 ~ 6:00-7:30 p.m. identity, addressing gender bias, communicating with leadership presence, problem-solving skills, leading without authority, cultural sensitivity, assertiveness skills, networking, addressing conflict, leading ethical change and leading groups and teams. Students will gain practical experience in leading change by working in small teams to execute a social action project. In this time of unprecedented social change, students will leave the program ready to lead in their communities, families, work and school. However, leadership experience is not required. 4. Participate in a 5-10 minute phone interview with Director Paquette.
