Locke Landis Lines Drawn was conceived as if a ritual for an imagined community to move through daily, to repeatedly define their world over and over as if movement created the world, and vice versa. BIO: Charlotte has worked as a choreographer/performer/educator nationally and internationally for many years. She has created work for amongst others: The Bauhaus in Germany, Danish Dance Theatre, Singapore Dance Theatre, the International Cuban Dance Festival in Havana, EDDC in the Netherlands, Tisch School of the Arts in NYC, Princeton University, Milwaukee Ballet, Ballet West, London Contemporary Dance School, Bellas Artes in Mexico City and more. In 2013 she co-founded NOW-ID, an interdisciplinary contemporary dance company based in Canada and in the States producing design driven work for the stage and beyond. This dance- theater duet explores what two souls can, and cannot, comprehend about loving one another. This dance is dedicated to my father, Leonard Jobaris (1939 - 2023), honoring the many lives that he led. “It is a joy to be hidden and a disaster not to be found.” - Winnicott BIO: Jessica Jobaris is a Seattle-based choreographer whose dance-theatre works warp perception, guiding audiences to reconsider what is sacred and what is profane. In 2010, she launched Jessica Jobaris & General Magic, a dance-theatre company dedicated to nurturing artistic risk and community connection through dance. Jessica has taught nationally and internationally, receiving funding for her works from city, state, and corporate organizations, and holds a BFA in dance (cum Laude) from Cornish College of the Arts. Gratitude! BIO: Solvej Amelia Noa is an improvisational, impromptu performance artist, practicing art as medicine and radical self-care. Solvej utilizes meditation, music, movement, poetry, and sacred sounds and symbols to compose creations with a healing component. The intention of Solvej’s art is to cultivate health, inspiration, and ultimately joy for and with those who engage it.
