Reshade in Modifiable UWP Games 1.) If the UWP title is modifiable, you’ll find the files under the drive letter you installed the game on in Program Files\ModifiableWindowsApps (So if it was the C drive, it’ll be C:\Program Files\ModifiableWindowsApps). Only modifiable windows apps will work! 2.) Download the shaders you wish to use from Github and place them in a directory separate from the ModifiableWindowsApps folder/subfolders. I recommend setting up a folder for both Presets and Shaders somewhere on your C drive. Go ahead and make a blank preset file in your newly created preset folder (For example, DefaultPreset.ini). When a UWP program updates, it will delete all unrecognized files. Setting up your shaders and presets in a separate folder will prevent those from being deleted. 3.) Run the reshade setup program like normal, but you’ll want to skip downloading the shaders since you’ve already done that. Select Edit ReShade settings, and input your Preset path and file name, Effects path, and Textures path. Example: 4.) All that’s left is to run your game as administrator. Because of UWP permission issues, not running your game as administrator causes reshade to fail to read/write your preset information, meaning ReShade won’t work. Unfortunately, setting any of the exes in the modifiablewindowsapps folder will not actually run the game as administrator. To do so, you’ll want to open your start menu, search for your game, and right click to run as administrator (alternatively you can search for the game and ctrl+shift+enter to run as administrator).
