About Youth Bridge This youth development programme aims to offer unemployed youth the opportunity to engage in a 6-month programme which will include full-time 1.5-month intensive contact sessions bolstered by 4.5 months of longitudinal support and mentorship. • The key objective is to enable the delegates to find a place of employment, education or training; • The key deliverables are psychosocial (building confidence, an understanding of the systemic issues, hope), practical (basic employability skills, CV’s, submitting applications, preparing for interviews, financial literacy) and longitudinal (mentorship and social capital); • The key outcome is a confident person with the ability to take on learning and earning opportunities. Youth Bridge is a Christel House SA Employment Initiative. It draws on lessons learnt from Christel House SA’s successful efforts over the past 22 years to support vulnerable youth to secure gainful employment. Read more about Christel House SA here: https://sa.christelhouse.org/ About the position: The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Lead will play a crucial role in assessing the effectiveness and impact of Youth Bridge's programmes and services. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive M&E framework, collecting and analysing data, and generating reports to inform decision-making and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities and Requirements: Reporting to the Managing Partner of the Youth Bridge Programme, the M& E Lead will be responsible for the following: 1. Design and develop and implement a comprehensive M&E framework for the project, 2. Collect and analyse data related to the project, 3. Generate reports at regular intervals and as required by funders, 4. Facilitate learning and improvement and ensure its relevance and implementation in the project and the organisation, 5. Ensure compliance to all statutory and regulatory requirements, ensuring integrity and professional standards are being maintained at all levels within the project. The candidates must fulfill the following requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in social sciences, statistics, monitoring and evaluation, or a related field, 2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in the development sector, 3. Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing M&E frameworks, 4. Strong analytical and data management skills (proficiency in Excel, SPSS, Zoho or similar software), 5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, 6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 7. Strong Project Management Skills with experience in youth development programmes, 8. Familiar with research methodology and a firm knowledge of data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, etc.).
