Overview This Privacy Policy explains how PDF Scanner handles information when you use the app. PDF Scanner is designed with a local-first approach: documents, images, scans, and PDF files you work with are processed and stored on your device. We do not operate a cloud service that uploads or stores your documents on our servers. By using PDF Scanner, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the app. 2. Information We Process Depending on the features you use, PDF Scanner may access photos and images you select or capture, PDF files, documents, file names and basic file information, and information you enter into the app while creating or editing documents. We do not require your documents to be uploaded to a personal cloud account. Your document content is not intentionally uploaded to our servers for cloud storage. 3. Camera and Photos If you use the document scanner, PDF Scanner may request access to your device camera so you can capture documents. Camera access is used to provide scanning functionality. If you import images or files from your device, the app may request the relevant permission or use the system file/photo picker. We use the selected media for the feature you requested. 4. Local Storage and Processing PDF Scanner is designed so that scans, imported documents, generated PDFs, and other working files are processed locally on your device whenever the feature supports local processing. Generated files are saved to locations provided by the app and/or operating system. You are responsible for managing, backing up, sharing, or deleting files stored on your device. Because files are stored locally, uninstalling the app, clearing its data, or deleting files from your device may permanently remove locally stored app data or generated files. 5. No Cloud Document Storage PDF Scanner does not provide cloud storage for your documents. We do not maintain a personal online document library where scanned PDFs or imported files are stored on our servers. Unless a specific feature clearly tells you otherwise, your document content remains on your device. 6. PDF Tools and Document Processing PDF Scanner • Privacy Policy • Effective September 2026 The app may provide features such as document scanning, image-to-PDF conversion, PDF editing, merging, splitting, compression, rotation, OCR, PDF security, metadata editing, page management, and other document tools. Where these operations are implemented locally, the relevant document data is processed on your device. The app does not need to upload your document to a cloud storage service simply to perform a local PDF operation. 7. Advertising PDF Scanner may display advertisements through third-party advertising services. Advertising providers may process certain information, such as advertising identifiers, device information, IP address, approximate location, app interaction information, and ad-performance information, subject to their own privacy policies and applicable laws. We do not send the contents of your scanned documents or locally stored PDFs to an advertising provider for the purpose of storing or analyzing your documents. If you use a rewarded advertisement feature, the advertising provider may process information necessary to deliver and measure the rewarded ad. 8. In-App Purchases and Pro Features PDF Scanner may offer optional paid Pro features or subscriptions through the platform's official billing system, such as Google Play Billing or Apple's App Store billing. Payment details are handled by the relevant app store or payment provider. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number through the app. The app may receive purchase or subscription status information necessary to unlock Pro features and restore eligible purchases. 9. Analytics and Diagnostics If analytics, crash reporting, or diagnostics services are integrated into the app, they may collect limited technical information such as app version, operating-system version, device model, crash information, and general usage or performance information. These services help us understand crashes, improve reliability, and maintain the app. They are not intended to receive or store the contents of your locally processed documents. 10. Permissions Depending on the features you use, the app may request permissions such as camera access, photo/media access, notifications, or file access. Permissions are requested when needed for the relevant functionality. You can manage available permissions through your device settings. Sharing and External Apps If you choose to share or open a generated PDF or image using another application, the selected file is passed to the app or service you choose through the operating system's sharing mechanism. Once you share a file with another app or third party, that party's privacy policy and practices apply. Children's Privacy PDF Scanner is a general-purpose productivity application and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children for targeted purposes. You can delete files using the app or your device's file-management features, where supported. We do not retain your scanned documents in a cloud account because PDF Scanner does not provide cloud document storage. 16.
