Tech Savvy Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Communities Tech Savvy Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Communities (TSCALD) is a FREE program designed for people from linguistically diverse communities to learn new Information Technology (IT) skills in their own language. It is run by the Wagga Wagga City Library in partnership with the Multicultural Council of Wagga Wagga, and the Australian Red Cross Wagga Wagga. It is funded by Telstra. The classes are set at beginner level, and will teach people basic IT skills. The sessions are small - 10 people per class - and the instructors are drawn from each community group. The instructor will guide the group through each topic, step-by-step. Topics include: - Introduction to smartphones - Introduction to computers/laptops - Introduction to the internet - Introduction to email Each class runs for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Participants will be loaned a device (tablet or laptop) if they cannot provide their own. 1. What is your preferred language?
