04 August 2022 MEMORANDUM NO. UPMUSC 2022-05 TO : League of College Student Councils (LCSC), Gender Advocacy Organizations and Groups, Coalition of Organizations, Fraternities, and Sorority (COFS), and Student Publications FROM : Querobin M. Acsibar Chairperson UP Manila University Student Council RE : Consultative Meeting for the Amendments of the 2017 UP System Anti Sexual Harassment Code _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ On August 3, 2022, the UP Manila Office of Anti-Sexual Harassment emailed all the members of the UP Manila Anti-Sexual Harassment Council asking for comments regarding the proposed amendments to the 2017 UP System Anti-Sexual Harassment Code, with a deadline of submission set at August 9, 2022. The student representative to this body, MSC SSTRWBS Committee Co-Head Jose Mateo Dela Cruz has contacted the USC Councilor for Gender, Culture and Arts Ariane Joyce Kekim to forge collaboration to organize a consultative meeting with Gender and Development Committee Head/Focal Person of student councils in all campuses and all gender advocacy organizations/formations within the university to collectively suggest inputs to the proposed amendments on August 6, 2022, from 10am to 5pm, respectively. The inputs from the proposed amendments will be formally submitted by the UP Manila Anti-Sexual Harassment Student Representative with due acknowledgement to the student councils and gender advocacy organizations represented during the said meeting. In this light, gender advocacy organizations, and Gender and Development focal persons/committee heads of college student councils and other relevant formations are to send one (1) representative to the said consultative meeting. Meanwhile, student Publications are also invited to cover and observe the process. With this, the USC shall provide further information and guidelines on the conduct and logistics of the meeting on/before August 5, 2022. The USC and the ASH Student Representative hope for maximum participation for all involved stakeholders to make this endeavor successful.
