PUT TING AT THE HEART OF YOUR COMMUNITIES ORGANISATION A series of workshops for Arts & Culture organisations who want to place communities at the heart of their organisation vision & strategy. WORKSHOPS We have three workshop offers available to book between: FEBRUARY - JULY 2022 Each workshop can be booked in isolation, all three can be booked as a series. A COLLECTIVE VISION GOVERNANCE & EXECUTIVE WORKSHOP 2 HOURS Half Day £250 4 HOURS Full Day £450 In this workshop, we create time & space for senior leadership teams to explore & interrogate current organisational strategy around community engagement & partnerships whilst providing the opportunity to begin to develop a collective vision around key priorities for the future. Using local & national strategy from relevant stakeholders, such as funders, local authorities, community consultation, staff feedback & government policy, we will map organisational priorities onto a local and national landscape to increase opportunities for investment, partnerships & successful impact for local people. We encourage organisations to ensure local community voices are represented in this workshop. ON THE GROUND LEARNING & ENGAGEMENT STAFF TEAMS, ARTISTS & VOLUNTEERS WORKSHOP 2 HOURS Half Day £250 4 HOURS Full Day £450 This practical, creative & accessible workshop brings together the ‘experts’ who are working with children, young people & communities every day to spend time reflecting on & interrogating current practice with a view to developing consensus and a shared vision for the future. We will use current and projected organisational priorities & strategy to interrogate its relevance & application in a local, grassroots context; whilst responding to national priorities around community engagement, giving the opportunity for staff feedback & input into strategic areas of focus. LISTEN UP COMMUNIT Y CONSULTATION Bespoke timings to accommodate various needs & contexts Bespoke costs to be agreed, dependent on length & needs of the group Let us be your ears through a series of creative, accessible, inclusive & constructive workshops for local communities. In these bespoke workshops we create space for local people of all ages and backgrounds to input, consult & share their own ideas with arts & culture organisations to inform priorities, strategy & delivery plans for the future. These workshops can be delivered with children, young people & wider community groups and will be tailored to be inclusive & accessible to all. It is important that staff from the organisation attend these workshops, however by allowing us to lead the workshop, staff can participate fully & spend time listening & talking to local communities. We recommend that these workshops are designed in consultation with you to ensure a wide reach to include diverse voices from your local community. B OOKINGS ENQUIRIES & Workshops will be tailored to each organisation but will draw on national policy around Arts Council England’s ‘Let’s Cre - ate’ 10 year strategy and Wider government policy. Workshops are aimed at Arts & Culture organisations of all kinds, in England. Workshops will take place at a venue of your choosing. It is the responsibility of the booking organisation to arrange all room booking logistics, technical equipment, catering and refreshments. These are not included in the price of the work - shop. Workshop costs do not include travel or accommodation which may be charged in addition, dependent on location. Workshops are subject to availability Monday -Thursday from February 2022-July 2022. CONTACT lynsey@culturaldemocracy.co.uk PUT TING AT THE HEART OF YOUR COMMUNITIES ORGANISATION AB OUT US Lynsey is an Applied Theatre practitioner, Arts Leader & Coach based in the North West who has worked extensively with children, young people and communities across Greater Manchester, nationally & internationally for the last 17 years. Having graduated with an MA in Applied Theatre from The University of Manchester, Lynsey O’Sullivan has most recently been in the role of Executive Director of Learning and Engagement at The Lowry for the past 10 years– transforming the organisation’s work with Young Carers, Looked After Children and Young parents across Salford & revolutionising access and inclusion for the large scale Arts Centre. Prior to joining The Lowry, she held various roles at Octagon Theatre Bolton leading creative programmes with schools, young people & in satellite community settings and before that as an Associate Lecturer at The University of Central Lancashire. Lynsey has also worked internationally as an applied theatre practitioner with NGO & charita - ble organisations in India, SE Asia, France & Australia. Lynsey is a member of the Clore Leadership and STRIDE Women in Leadership programmes. Dependent on availability, workshops will be delivered by Lynsey or alternatively an associate consultant.
