Oye and the US State Department join forces to offer Foreign Service Internships to local Youth Washington, DC – Representative Oye Owolewa is assisting the US State Department in recruiting local youth to pursue a career in the Foreign Service. Representative Owolewa is reaching out to Civic Associations, Advisory Neighborhood Commissions and Community groups alike to raise awareness of the US State Department Office of Diversity and Inclusion virtual internships. Students (high school or college) will have the opportunity to launch the social media strategy for the office and be involved in an oral history campaign. Rep Oye’s goal is to have more young people in DC use this opportunity as a stepping stone and take interest in a successful Foreign Service career. Rep.
