Petbuds Manufacturer’s Warranty 1 Year Limited Warranty – Automatic Litter Boxes 1. Warranty Coverage Petbuds stands behind the quality of its products. Every Petbuds automatic litter box is covered by a 1 - year manufacturer’s warranty , commencing from the date the parcel is delivered to the customer. This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). During the 12 - month warranty period, Petbuds will, at its discretion, repair the product, replace defective parts, or provide a replacement unit where a fault is confirmed to result from a manufacturing defect or material defect under normal domestic house hold use. This warranty covers: • Electrical or mechanical failures not caused by external factors • Sensor or motor malfunctions under normal operating conditions • Defects in materials or workmanship present at the time of manufacture All warranty assessments are conducted by Petbuds’ technical team based on the information and evidence provided. 2. What Is Not Covered This warranty does not cover faults, damage, or operational issues resulting from: • Normal wear and tear • Incorrect installation or failure to follow the user manual • Use of incompatible litter types or unsuitable materials • Blockages, abnormal operation, or damage caused by litter size, moisture, dust buildup, or foreign objects • Accidental damage, liquid exposure beyond intended use, impact damage, or misuse • Unauthorised modification, repair, or disassembly • Commercial, rental, or non - household use Consumable components — including but not limited to liner bags, filters, deodorisers, or carbon elements — are not covered unless they are defective upon delivery. 3. Troubleshooting Requirement Before approving a warranty replacement, Petbuds may require reasonable troubleshooting steps to determine whether the issue is hardware - related. Many operational issues can be resolved through: • Proper setup adjustments • Firmware or calibration checks • Litter compatibility verification If an issue is determined not to be caused by a manufacturing defect, technical support will still be provided, but the matter may not qualify for warranty replacement. This process helps ensure efficient resolution and responsible resource management. 4. Warranty Claim Process To submit a warranty claim, customers may be required to provide: • Proof of purchase • Serial number (located on the unit) • Device ID (if applicable via the mobile app) • Clear photos or videos demonstrating the issue If remote diagnosis is insufficient, Petbuds may arrange replacement parts or further assessment as appropriate. Petbuds reserves the right to decline a warranty claim if insufficient information is provided to reasonably verify the reported fault. 5. Australian Consumer Law Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to: • A replacement or refund for a major failure; and • Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. This manufacturer’s warranty is provided in addition to, and does not replace or limit, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. 6. Fair Use This warranty is intended to cover genuine product defects. Where a customer deliberately provides false, misleading, or fabricated information in connection with a warranty claim, Petbuds reserves the right to refuse the claim to the extent permitted by law. 7.
