HISENSE ROKU ARGOS VOUCHER 2021 SOCIAL COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS 1. The Promoter The promoter is: Hisense UK Limited of Unit 2 Meadow Court, Millshaw, Leeds, England, LS11 8LZ (the "Promoter"). 2. The competition 2.1. The title of the competition is: "Hisense Roku Argos Voucher 2021 Social Competition". 2.2. During the Competition Period (detailed below) the Promoter will be publishing a promotional post on Instagram and Facebook (the "Promotional Post") as part of the competition. The Promotional Post will ask entrants to comment “ROKU” letter by letter. Entrants who comment on either Promotional Post and spell “ROKU” letter by letter will be entered into a prize draw gaining the chance to win a prize. One winner will be selected to win the prize. 3. How to enter 3.1. The competition will run from 17.30 on 17th February 2021 (the "Opening Date") to 23.59 on 21st February 2021 (the "Closing Date") inclusive (the "Competition Period"). 3.2. You must have access to the Internet and an Instagram or Facebook account to participate in the competition. To enter the competition, you must comment on the Promoter's Promotional Post, before the Closing Date, and spell out “ROKU” letter by letter. You will then be entered into a prize draw gaining the chance to win a prize. 3.3. No purchase necessary to enter the competition. 3.4. By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions. 4. Eligibility 4.1. The competition is only open to residents in the UK aged 18 years or over, except: (i) employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies; (ii) employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or (iii) members of the immediate families or households of (i) and (ii) above. 4.2. In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition, such as proof of identity and age. 4.3. The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are: (i) automatically generated by computer; (ii) completed by third parties or in bulk; or (iii) incomplete. Entries must not feature offensive content or content which infringes 3rd party copyright or intellectual property rights. 4.4. There is a limit of one entry per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed. 4.5. The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition. 4.6. The Promoter will not accept responsibility for competition entries that are lost or delayed in transit or incorrectly posted or for failures to post entries, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. 5. The Prize 5.1. The prize is 1x £50 Argos voucher. 5.2. The prize includes delivery within the UK, but (if applicable) does not include installation work or costs. Any other costs incurred in addition to delivery within the UK that are incidental to the fulfilment of the prize are the responsibility of the winner. 5.3. The prize is subject to availability. There is no cash alternative for the prize. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any the prize or any part of the prize with an item or items of equal or greater value. The prize is not negotiable or transferable. 6. Selecting and Announcing Winner 6.1. Entrants who have commented on a Promotional Post, spelling out “ROKU” letter by letter, will be entered into a prize draw for the Promotional Post. A winner will then be chosen by random draw performed by a computer process. The draw will be carried out within seventy- two (72) hours of the Closing Date and the winner will be announced as soon as possible thereafter (the "Announcement Date"). 6.2. The winner will be contacted as soon as practicable after the prize draw is carried out using Facebook or Instagram messaging. The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize and provided all information reasonably required by the Promoter within five (5) days of first being contacted by the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner, in accordance with the process outlined above. 6.3. The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter may publish the surname and county of the prize winner on its promotional Facebook/ Instagram pages, and/ or will send the surname and county of the prize winner to anyone who contacts the address set out in 11.4 within one (1) month after the Closing Date of the competition. 6.4. If you object to any or all of your surname and county being published or made available, please contact the Promoter. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request. 7. Delivery of the Prize 7.1. Please allow fourteen (14) days following the Closing Date for delivery of the prize. 7.2. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize or to accept delivery of it. 8. Limitation of liability 8.1. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected. 9. Data Protection and Publicity 9.1. The Promoter will use and process your personal information for the purposes of operating and administering the competition as detailed in these Terms and Conditions, including (if you are selected as a winner) for the purposes of announcing the winner and arranging delivery of the Prize. 9.2. The Promoter may share the personal data with its agents and suppliers involved in running the competition, including the Promoter's marketing agency (Ponderosa) as well as the Promoter's delivery company. However, the Promoter will take steps to ensure that such third parties only use the personal data for the purposes described in this section. 9.3. Disclaimers 10.1. This promotion and competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram. You are providing your information to the Promoter and not to Facebook or Instagram. 10.2. You agree that Facebook and Instagram shall have no liability in respect of this promotion or competition. 10.3. Any comment you post on Facebook or Instagram must comply with all applicable terms and conditions stipulated by Facebook or Instagram concerning content which is posted or shared on their platforms. 11. General 11.1. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition. 11.2. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition, or to amend these Terms and Conditions, where (in the reasonable discretion of the Promoter) it considers it necessary to do so. 11.3. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. 11.4.
