I have had a psychedelic medicine experience and want to have a conversation about integration. To begin we will have everyone share briefly about a person who inspired you to be curious about psychedelics or psychedelic medicine. This can be someone you know or whose work reached you in some way. Share briefly about this person and why they inspired you. If you have experienced psychedelics, either in a clinical or non-clinical setting, share what if any healing benefit you have received from the medicine or experience. If you haven’t experienced psychedelic medicine share with the table any fears, hesitations and hopes you have about psychedelics for you personally. Did you establish an intention before your psychedelic experience? Did the experience create healing or new perspectives in relation to your intention? Have you ever had a “bad trip” or have you faced difficult moments during the use of psychedelic medicine? How did you handle it? Who have you shared your psychedelic experience with and did you find that sharing about the experience was meaningful or challenging? What resources would you like to see available for people to have a more complete integration after an experience with psychedelic medicine? End each dinner with a simple game called: Appreciation in the Round. This begins with someone at the table turning to the person on their left, and telling them something you admire or respect about them. They might be a person you met tonight, so you can highlight something you heard them express during your time together. This will start a chain reaction that continues around the table, each person admiring someone sitting on their left until everyone has been appreciated.
