Hélios Aël Lyons Leeds, UK helioslyons.com – soundcloud.com/sunboi University: mc18hal@leeds.ac.uk – Personal: helioslyons@me.com (+44) 7999 905562 – 1st of May 2000 BIO So far in my student and professional experiences, my aim has been to express the fascination and drive I have to explore existing and emerging technologies toward the creation, and creative use, of sound. For example, based on my 12 years of harp experience and taught knowledge of electronics, I designed and built a movement-based MIDI control system into my harp performances using Arduino and MaxMSP. This linking of disciplines is central to my character and work ethic, as I have grown up in a diverse, international environment which demands flexibility, open- mindedness and a willingness to understand, qualities I strive to represent in all my work. I am currently searching for an internship as part of my degree’s ‘Year in Industry,’ looking to explore the world of professional sound design in the context of music, advertising and video games.
