Hell In A Cell 4: A Chaos Demolition Tournament Sunday, August 1st @ 7 PM EST Watch Here: https://www.twitch.tv/rocket_sledge Objective • The Hell in the Cell tournament is a chaos (4v4) tournament with a custom scoring system that weighs in demolitions and exterminations in addition to goals as part of a team’s total score. • The objective is to see who best uses demolitions to win matches without ignoring the ball. • At the end of 5 minutes of regulation time, the team with the highest total of combined points wins the match. There is no over-time. Tournament Style • The tournament style will be an 8-team max size tournament. The bracket type will be decided based upon the number of teams signed up to best meet a target stream time of 2-3 hours, including a best of 3 championship match. • Each game will be streamed live on twitch with a caster and overlays to show the custom score tracking for both the audience and players whom don’t have the score tracking plugin installed locally with bakkesmod (bakkesmod is a custom plugin manager for adding mods to Rocket League & it is only available on PC). • You do not have to be on PC to play. Any cross-platform players can join a team. Sign Ups, Bracket Start Time & Subs • All teams must be signed up on smash.gg/hell-in-a-cell-4 with at least a team of 4 members by Sunday, August 1st, 2021. The tournament will start at 7:00 PM EST on Sunday, August 1st, 2021. • Each team can also sign up 2 additional subs that may take a player’s place if a team member can’t make it for a match. Subs can only play if they join before the match clock starts. • Every team must have at least 1 player in the boom squad discord joined in their team assigned voice chat channel so that the tournament admins and moderators can make verify that each team is ready to join the lobby when they are up. Failure to have a team player available and actively ready to respond in discord when needed will be an automatic forfeit for that match. The Boom Squad discord invite link can be found on the https://smash.gg/tournament/hell-in-a- cell-4 site for the tournament, or joined directly with this link: https://discord.gg/qNT3dbS • Each team can only have 4 players in a lobby (no spectators in-game, we need the extra two slots for the stream and caster). • Any player who late joins after the match starts will result in an automatic forfeit for that team. (Do not late join a match unless instructed to do so by a tournament admin). Live Custom Score Tracking (bakkesmod plugin) • All the custom scoring will be automatically tracked live by a custom bakkesmod plugin and displayed live on stream. • The custom bakkesmod plugin can also be used by any steam or epic players in the tournament who would like to have a live in-game counter on their local client side during their matches, but it is not a requirement. • The bakkesmod plugin can be found here: https://bakkesplugins.com/plugins/view/132 and installed with the automatic install link (it requires bakkesmod to already be installed which is a PC only app). Custom Scoring • The Hell in the Cell tournament is a chaos (4v4) tournament with a custom scoring system that weighs in demolitions and exterminations in addition to goals as part of a teams total score. The objective is to see who best uses demolitions to win matches without ignoring the ball. At the end of 5 minutes of regulation time, the team with the highest total of combined points wins the match. ◦ A team’s total score is weighted as such: ▪ +1 point for each demolition ▪ +3 points for each extermination (an extermination is a set of 7 demolitions in a match by an individual player) ▪ +5 points for each goal ◦ Ex. If team A has 7 demolitions, 1 extermination, and 1 goal, they would have a total score of 15 points (7 from demos, 3 from the extermination, and 5 from the goal). If team B has 0 demolitions, 0 exterminations, and 2 goals, team B would have a total of 10 points. Despite the goal score being 2-1 in favor of Team B, Team A would still win with the higher total value of points added from demoing. ◦ NOTE: demolitions during post score celebrations count as part of the teams score due how to our custom score tracking system is tracking in-game events. • There is no over-time. When the regulation time of 5 minutes is over, the team with the most total points wins and any overtime period from a tie in goals will be ignored/not counted towards the final score. The only exceptions to this rule are the following: ◦ any demolition during a post goal celebration counts towards the live score as well as any demolition during a 0 second extended play before the ball touches the ground. • TIE BREAKERS: In the case of two teams having a tied score at the end of the 5-minute regulation time, the winner will be decided by the team with the most demolitions. If both teams are tied in demolitions, then the team with the most exterminations wins. If both demolitions and exterminations are tied, then the entire match will be replayed until a winner is decided. Prize Pool • A handmade replica bomb trophy (plastic) with a “HELL IN A CELL: CHAMPION” decal (1 trophy for each of the players that win the championship game) • the “HIAC Champions” discord role in the boom squad • A 🏆 icon added to each team members name of the winning team in the boom squad discord Match Settings • All matches will be played on US-East servers unless agreed to change by both teams AND the tournament admins. The match settings must be set to default settings and will be set to DFH Stadium. Game Start • Players may not join their designated side until four Players from each Team have joined the lobby. If a player joins early, it will be up to the tournament admins to determine if the match should be restarted. Post Game Results • Every game will be reported by one of our mods and updated without any player intervention. If there is any disagreement about the accuracy of the ending score, the match will be double checked by uploading the replay file to ballchasing.com and checking the detailed stats there to recalculate the custom total score. Rehosts/Match Issues • Between Games in a Match, Teams may request that the Match be re-hosted on a different server in the same region due to connection issues. During a match, before either (a) a point has been scored or (b) fifteen (15) seconds have elapsed (whichever is sooner), Teams may mutually agree to cancel the current Game of the Match and re-host the Match with approval from Tournament Administrators. Tournament Administrators reserve the right to suspend and invalidate the current Game of the Match for a re-host at any time. Harassment • Players are prohibited from engaging in any form of harassing, abusive, or discriminatory conduct based on race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, political opinion or any other opinion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other status or characteristic protected under applicable law. Any Player who witnesses or is subjected to harassing, abusive, or discriminatory conduct should notify a Tournament Administrator.
