Moony Habits Los Angeles, CA 02/2015 – 06/2015 Co-founder Co-founded Moony Habits, a Los Angeles-based music events promotion crew focused on leftfied house, broken beat, techno, and everything in between.  Sourced artists, and ran door + ticketing for the first three Moony Habits events  Coordinated with graphic designers to design event logos and posters. Ninja Tune Records Los Angeles, CA 05/2014 – 08/2014 Intern Interned at Ninja Tune’s LA offices. Coordinated with Ninja HQ in London to handle day-to-day affairs for the label.  Managed inventory  Organized and planned logistics (travel arrangements, live sound, door access, setup/teardown), for a rooftop performance by one of Ninja's overseas artists (Fink)  Prepared and sent media mailouts  Prepared marketing reports for recent and upcoming Ninja Tune releases  Researched publicity outlets and future directions for Ninja Tune artists Dublab Los Angeles, CA 02/2014 – 04/2014 Intern Interned at Dublab, one of the oldest online community radio stations on the Internet.  Coordinated with DJs and hosts to keep station smoothly operating day to day  Edited, normalized, and otherwise processed regular and backlogged podcasts for uploading to Dublab’s website. Alpha Pup Records Los Angeles, CA 01/2014 – 03/2014 Intern Alpha Pup Records is an independent record label and digital music distributor that represents over 40 of the world's top independent labels, spanning all genres of contemporary music. From the classic funk and soul catalog of Westbound Records (Funkadelic, Ohio Players) to the screaming punk rock of Gold Standard Laboratories (The Mars Volta, !!!, The Locust) as well as the Alpha Pup label artist roster (Nosaj Thing, Free The Robots, Nobody, Daddy Kev, Nocando) and Flying Lotus' Brainfeeder (Thundercat, Teebs, SAMIYAM, Ras G), the Alpha Pup catalog includes some of the most vital albums in independent music history.  Got familiar with the upkeep and development of a record label, mastering studio, and digital distribution chain  Coordinated with other interns and employees to understand and perform essential label duties: metadata, digital asset management, street marketing, creative writing, publicity, social networking, A&R, graphic design, and mastering/production. WRGW District Radio Washington, DC 09/2011 – 10/2013 Operations Director WRGW is George Washington University’s student-run radio station, and in addition to yearlong radio broadcasts, also hosts and supports local DC music events and performances Technologies used/interacted with: MediaWiki, Redmine, SHOUTcast, ProppFrexx ONAIR, Radioactivity.fm, WordPress, Joomla, StationPlaylist  Spearheaded total renovation of main control room and refactored WRGW web presence  Deployed internal wiki (MediaWiki) and case tracker (OpenAtrium)  Replaced playlist/bump/spot system used for sports game broadcasts with a simpler and more stable system based on StationPlaylist  Assisted in the organization, along with other local college radio stations (WVAU, WMUC, and WGTB), of a sold-out (800+ person) Deerhunter concert at the historic 6th & I Synagogue  Represented WRGW as press at major international electronic music festivals, including Moogfest 2012 (Asheville, NC), Bloc 2012 (London, UK), and Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival 2013 (New York, NY)
