The individual will work on the following core duties, and more: Assist the Logistics Manager with warehouse and stock management functions Planning and execution of logistical and operational tasks related to aid stations Supplier sourcing, negotiation and management Drafting of detailed event planning documentation Assist with budget management and invoice processing Conduct volunteer briefings at events Work as part of the core operations team across Ireland and the UK and input into team initiatives LOGISTICS CO-ORDINATOR + OPERATIONS BRANDING CO-ORDINATOR + OPERATIONS The Branding Co-Ordinator will be involved in the planning and execution of sponsor and partner activation at all UK & Ireland events The individual will work on the following core duties, and more: Lead the implementation of all course and site partner branding requirements across an event week Production of branding and signage plans to a professional standard Design and ordering of on-site signage and branding materials Liaise with partner and sponsor representatives as required Supplier sourcing, negotiation and management Work as part of the core operations team and input into team initiatives The Volunteer Co-Ordinator will be involved in volunteer recruitment and race-week workforce management at all UK & Ireland events. The individual will work on the following core duties, and more: Production of Volunteer guides and briefing documents & maintain volunteer-related social media channels Liaising and working effectively with local coordinators on both recruitment and event-week delivery Supplier sourcing, negotiation and management Drafting of detailed event documentation Volunteer briefings before and during events Managing the race-week volunteer registration process Work as part of the core operations team across Ireland and the UK and input into team initiatives VOLUNTEER CO-ORDINATOR + OPERATIONS The Athlete Service Co-Ordinator will be involved in overseeing the entire athlete experience at all UK & Ireland events. The individual will work on the following core duties, and more: Day-to-day athlete enquiries and services, answering emails and phone calls Production and distribution of athlete communications Support the co-ordination of the on-site registration process at events Assist with athlete welfare process on race-day Produce bib allocations and assist in order process pre- events Help deliver the post-race awards ceremony and process World Championship slot allocations Work as part of the core operations team across Ireland and the UK and input into team initiatives ATH. SERVICES CO-ORDINATOR + ATHLETE SERVICES FAQ’s What is the location of the IRONMAN internship? + The internship will be based at our Oxfordshire (OX14 4RR) office, but interns will be expected to travel to all UK & Ireland events. How much will I get paid? + This is a paid internship and staff will receive a competitive monthly salary. Is the job full-time? + Yes, once commenced the role is a full-time position (37.5hr per week) plus additional weekend work at events. Are permanent jobs offered at the end of the internship? + We cannot guarantee any permanent employment upon the completion of an internship position. However, IRONMAN has a strong track record of offering permanent positions when a suitable opportunity arises. FAQ’s Continued Will I need to organise my own travel and accommodation at events? + No, IRONMAN will organize and cover all travel and accommodation requirements at events. Do I need a driver’s licence? + Not necessarily but it is preferable for certain roles. How flexible can you be with start/end dates? + We understand the need for flexibility with interns due to university and other employment commitments etc. When appropriate, this can be discussed with the Operations Manager at IRONMAN. What experience do I need? + We understand that many applicants will be just beginning their careers, so we don’t expect everyone to have a wealth of industry experience but detailing any prior experience within events management and sport organization will be helpful.. FAQ’s Continued What events will I be required to work at and for how long? + IRONMAN 70.3 Staffordshire - 12 June 2022 + Cymru MTB Classic, Snowdonia – 17 -19 June 2022 + IRONMAN UK, Bolton - 3 July 2022 + IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea – 7 August 2022 + IRONMAN 70.3 & IM. Cork – 13 &14 Aug 2022 + IRONMAN Wales, Tenby - 11 September 2022 + IRONMAN 70.3 Weymouth - 18 September 2022 + Staff will typically be on location at each event for 6-8 days.
