Stage 1: Admissions Open Forms are available on the website: https://sa.christelhouse.org/ our-programs/student-applications/, when you send a WhatsApp message to: 067 035 6608 or when you email: [email protected] Once you submit your application, there will be a 4-week waiting period before our Social Services office makes initial contact with you. 2. Stage 2: Screening of applications will be done via the social services department. This screening process takes place in accordance with the admissions requirements. An initial screening at this point will disqualify any applications that are outside the Christel House areas of operation, if the applicant is too young or too old for Grade R admissions or if the household income is too high. Applications will not be received if supporting documents are missing. The parent/guardian will be informed immediately of an unsuccessful application. No correspondence will be entered into and the applicant will not be accepted. 3. Stage 3: Home Visit & Verification Should your application pass the requirements of stage 2; you will receive a home visit where our social workers will take pictures for the application as well as conduct an interview. Applicants’ files are sent through for verification by our Head Office. Successful and unsuccessful parents will be notified. 4. Stage 4: Observation / Selection Assessment If the home visit & interview meet requirements in stage 3, the applicant will be invited for an age appropriate assessment and observation. The assessment is to ensure the candidate can be appropriately served and supported by Christel House South Africa. Applicants will be notified by 30 November. 5. Stage 5: Your child's file will also go to the admissions committee. Head Office will conduct final verification of applicants. Notification of successful and unsuccessful families will be done by 30 November. If you do not hear from Christel House South Africa by 30 November after receiving a home visit and/or assessment by the school, consider your application to be unsuccessful.
