Terms like "OPD", "Emergency", "Superspeciality" and what they denote is beyond the spectrum of their knowledge. At a war between life and death, all they seek is effective healthcare. However, the struggle of finding a potential blood donor within a night remains unmatched. It made us realise that if it was so difficult for us, as medical students, to find blood in the emergency hour, how stressful and dreadful it is for the needy who lack proper contacts for the same. To resolve this distress in times of need, Project "Bhorer Alo" was born in Burdwan Medical College And Hospital. Primarily, we aim at preparing a database of blood groups of the residents under the Burdwan Municipality, so that donors can be contacted and right amount of blood can be catered to the patients in emergency situations.Personally, I don't know to how many people this project will be acceptable, how many will it be able to help, but if it can serve even a single patient and save his life, "Bhored Alo" will stand successful.
