FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Summer Brouwer, office@repoyedc.com Staff Member Rep Oye & Others Bring Holiday Meals to Ronald McDonald House Washington, DC — On Wednesday, November 23, 2022, DC’s US Representative Oye Owolewa is teaming up with local leaders and the Ronald McDonald House of DC (3727 14th St NE) to provide hot meals for families of hospitalized children. From 4 pm to 6 pm, Rep Oye will bring hot Nigerian meals prepared by Ward 5’s Zion West African Restaurant. Rep Oye is partnering with the Nigerian Center to provide up to 51 meals for affected families. “Thank you Ronald McDonald House, Nigerian Center, Zion Restaurant and everyone else who’s making this possible” says Rep Oye “to create an opportunity to share positive moments with families during this holiday season. I’m grateful to be in this position and I’m proud to represent a city that cares in times like this.” ### As US Representative, Rep. Oye has helped increase vaccine access to DC residents during the pandemic, implemented science enrichment programs in DC public schools, and addressed environmental justice by aiding in the restoration of DC's federal parks.
