Participants will learn how the brain develops, including how neurotransmitter functioning is impacted by drug usage. Participants will learn the importance of having a positive self-image and the benefit of creating a space where everyone thrives. In this workshop, participants will be provided with suggestions of how to practice self-love, how to have a positive mindset, and how to practice self- affirmation. Social media platforms such as Tik Tok, Instagram, and Snapchat, are increasingly exposing youth populations to advertisements that promote alcohol and drug consumption. The lack of content available that discusses the importance of moderation encourages an unrealistic, unhealthy lifestyle. Participants will be provided with information about commonly used party drugs, underage drinking laws, hospitalization statistics, and the importance of moderation.
