Hasan Khadra Performance Notes I will be breaking these notes into 4 sections, Quality of Deliverables , Teamwork , Innovation and Working Attitude First up QoD From the start the quality of the work delivered has been exceptional. While no code is perfect, I have been consistently impressed with the level of quality that is delivered. Attention to detail, process and procedure are areas that stand out when thinking about your QoD. When there is a problem you own it, explain it and fix it. You can’t really ask for more. Teamwork Being a team player is a crucial part of working in a department as small and as important as ours is, and thankfully this is an area where you shine. Everyone in the team knows, implicitly, that if they need help from you, they simply have to ask. This is a vastly underrated skill in the modern development landscape. Keep honing this as you move into more leadership roles, and mentor those under your care to pass this trait on. Innovation While this isn’t an area that is lacking, it IS one that I would like to see more activity on. What I mean here is that I want you to charge ahead, look at the industry, look at what we do and tell me what we should do next . I can’t guarantee that we will use all of your ideas, but I have no doubt that something great will come out of this, if you apply your particular genius to it. As for the code you deliver today, I applaud your desire to do things correctly, to write code that is understandable, extendable and where appropriate, pushes the envelope. Keep doing this, while dreaming more. That’s what we need more than anything, more people dreaming up new things. We as a team are building Film.io, not just the C level’s. Working Attitude This is another strong aspect to your professional character. I always find any interaction with you to be clear, professional and affirming. There is a tendency in our industry and profession to either lean into a lack of tact, which is unacceptable in my opinion. All human beings should be treated with a base level of respect, and you function in this way without any prompting from me, and I can’t tell you how happy that makes me.
