The highest note, which soars up and ends on the final note of ‘come ye back’. In short, it’s a song that deeply cries for home. In the song, Christine visits her father's grave at the cemetery. She expresses her deep longing for her father, who has passed away, and she wishes he could be with her once more. This movement showcases the Handel’s mastery in crafting emotive and elegant melodies. This movement, marked by its gentle tempo, exudes a poignant serenity. He’s a British composer renowned for his contributions to contemporary classical music, with a particular emphasis on music for saxophones. The "Danse" is a lively and vibrant instrumental piece that captures the essence of Russian folk music and culture, characterised by its spirited melodies and dance rhythms. Paul Harris, a British composer and music educator known for his contributions to music pedagogy. This piece is part of his series of works meant for students to develop their musical and technical skills. Allegro con brio (lively, with brightness). It is about the power of music to 'kindle the heart to warm love' and carry us into a better world. “Extase”, means “ecstasy”, it is a short poem written in 1874 by Jean Lahor. This poem equates the feeling of ecstasy with a sleep like death which is shown in Duparc’s music. “Chanson triste,” or “Sad Song”, a poem by Jean Lahor, a Symbolist poet whose natural pessimism led him to Oriental philosophies and the conviction that all was vanity. This poem, despite its title and the predilections of its author, does offer the hope that perhaps love can cure the suffering poet. Étude Op. 25, No. 1 in A-flat major is a solo piano work composed by Frédéric Chopin in 1836, and published in 1837. The work consists entirely of rapid arpeggios and harmonic modulations based on A-flat major. “Largo - Allegro”, composed in 1802 by L.V Beethoven. The first movement, launches us off into alternations of peacefulness with stormy sections. it is ideal for showing the changes in technique and tempo needed between the sections. Indicated Presto, in E Minor is the fastest of the six moments musicaux (French for “Six Musical Moments”), Op. 16, composed between October and December, 1896. Harry Lewis Capaldi - Someone You Loved Rex Orange County - Sunflower Rex Orange County - Best Friend This song is about investing all of your time and energy into a person and how hard it is when things don’t work out the way you wanted them too. It was released as the first single from Lewis Capaldi's debut album, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent. “Sunflower” is a song dedicated to Rex’s girlfriend Thea Morgan-Murrell. Rex has equalled his girlfriend to a ‘Sunflower,’ which is symbolic of light, power and innocence. In the lyrics of the song, Rex confesses his unconditional love for her and questions his existence without her. “Best Friend” is about unrequited love. The protagonist is in love with a girl and even though it should be simple for them to be happy together she just doesn’t love him back.
