For regular return grade III maintenance, it is suggested 11 All fastener Check all the fasteners for loose connection and that installation, commissioning and any parts falling off maintenance shall be conducted at the service station designated by the company. Start and operation 1.Insert the key into power source lock and enable the power source. 2.Grip the front&rear brake handle to prevent the motorcycle rolling away. 3.Please switch on the turn signal indicator to win the attention of the pedestrians and vehicles. 4.Retract the side stand to deactivate the protective state of controller 5.Loosen both front&rear brake handles. Turn the RHS speed governing handlebar with right hand in order to move the motorcycle slowly before laying both feet on the pedal. 1.The controller is in the electrified state, the vehicle can be ridden, the personnel must not arbitrarily turn to handle, the vehicle has the risk of rushing out 2.There is a 2 second reset process for releasing P. The motorcycle is ready to be started when the parking lamp on the instrument off 3.The driver and the passenger should wear protective tools like helmet, protective glove, safety googles, protective wear etc.. prior to operation. Inspection and adjustment after run-in The user shall attach importance to run-in after purchasing a new motorcycle. The initial mileage of 1,000km is the run-in period. The initial mileage is subject to the reading from odometer. The performance of run-in for a new one has direct impact on the service life of it. The so-called “Run-in” refers to a process during which all components can better fit in well with each other and deliver better performance after having used the new motorcycle over period of time. At the end of the run-in period, an overall adjustment shall be applied to the motorcycle so as to ensure it can work as usual and also can deliver better response and durability. The adjusting items are shown as follows: 1. Adjusting bearing Over the course of run-in, the steel ball, axle-bowl and the rollaway nest surface between axle bumpers tend to be smoother and fit to a greater extent under load. However, the clearance shall be adjusted appropriately. 2. Adjustment of braking system All components of the braking system are fit better for each other over a certain period of use. Especially, the braking shoe and surface of brake drum’s inner bore tend to be fit better over run-in. For safe operation, free travel of braking system shall be adjusted appropriately. 3. Adjustment of fasteners The bolts or nuts tend to be loose over run-in period as the motorcycle will be through bumps and shakes. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct inspection and fastening timely to ensure the motorcycle can work as usual. Requirements on maintenance All components may be loose and suffer from mechanical wear at varied extent during operation. It is necessary to maintain the motorcycle on a regular basis in order to extend its service life, lower repair costs and achieve safe operation. 1. Keep the motorcycle clean on its surface, full of charge, easy to start, in normal acceleration performance and power performance and free from rattle. 2. Ensure operating mechanism and drive system are responsive as usual. Keep all connections and fasteners secure. Keep all lubricating points fully lubricated. 3. Ensure it is easy to operate front/rear brake handles. The braking effect is in line with requirements. The braking shoe is able to return and free from noise when braking is deactivated. The motorcycle features a normal coasting behavior. 4. Front/rear shock absorbers work in a steady and reliable manner. The tire pressure is normal. All parts for power supply, electrical system and control system work as usual. 5. The connection of battery is reliable and secure as well as is free of wear or rust, with all spare parts equipped. Maintenance of air switch The output end of battery is in serial connection with air switch. In case charging current or discharging current is higher than the specified value, fuse may be disconnected automatically to protect battery and electrical components from damage. Turn the switch to “ON” position to energize the complete motorcycle and to “OFF” position to disconnect power source. The power source switch has to be connected at charging. First check if air switch is on “No” or not if the motorcycle is not energized. If so, turn it to “ON”position. Note: it is necessary to switch off the air switch when motorcycle is being idle. By doing so, the full charge endurance can be maintained with longer service life of battery. Use and maintenance of charger Charger is an important part of the motorcycle. The performance of charger can heavily affect the service life of battery. A charger mainly consists of a rectifier filter, a high-voltage switch, voltage commutation, control of constant voltage and charging and others. The charger offers trickle charge. The duration of charging each time shall usually be shorter than 12 hours. Otherwise, this may affect the service life of the charger. The charger shall be dry and ventilated at charging. Source of flame shall be away from the battery at charging; the charger shall not be covered anything in order to avoid fire. The output plug of the charger shall be connected to the socket on the battery box at charging. Then, the charger plug is inserted into a common power source socket. At end of charging, the charger’s power source shall be disconnected first before plugging the output plug out of the battery socket. Keep the charger in a proper manner or place it into the glove compartment. Warning 1. The charger shall be water-proof, moisture-proof and should be used or stored at a dry environment. Do not throw it hard against the ground and avoid electric shock accident. 2. It is forbidden to touch and switch the charger on at charging. To avoid injury and death as a result of electric shock accident since there is high voltage and current with the charger. 3. The charger can be heated during charging. Charging shall be conducted at a well-ventilated place. Keep the charger away from blanket, wooden board and other flammable, explosive items so as to avoid potential fire or explosion accident. 4. The voltage and current of the battery shall be line with the specification of the charger at charging. Meanwhile, charger’s output plug polarity shall be in line with that of the battery group. Otherwise, this may damage the charger and battery. 5. As the charger’s indicator does not turn in color over a given period of time or longer than 8 hours, indicator has been showing red constantly. The charging shall be stopped immediately. Send the charger to a service station for inspection. 6. The charger has to be repaired and handled by a special repairman when the charger becomes faulty.
