Bakers from all over the world come to compete for the million dollar prize. Lynn Travis, a Morton resident and bakery owner, is expected to win. However, when her older sister drops her niece Julie off for the summer and Pierce disqualifies her famous pumpkin pie from the competition, things look grim. When Peter, quite literally the boy next door all her life, with finally decides to come clean about his romantic feelings for her and the dashing Pierce lets his romantic intentions known, Lynn is overwhelmed. The competition heats up as hundreds of bakers descend upon Morton from all over, including Lynn’s role model, celebrity baker Madison Bell. Lynn is determined to win the million dollars for Grace Church, and put Morton on the map at the same time. While everyone is trying to copy or sabotage Lynn, Julie and Peter watch, plan and work together to prove that good will always triumph. Much to Merry's delight, Chris hires her on the spot. With a budget of $12,000, Meredith has carte blanche to decorate, cook and plan Christmas for Chris and his family. Meredith confides in her best friend, Bella, that she hasn't accepted the job because she hopes that her parents want to spend the holidays together. Bella snaps Merry into reality by forcing her to call her father. Her father expresses no interest in spending the holidays together, so Meredith accepts the job with Chris. As Meredith and Chris spend time together, they find more things in common. Meredith appreciates Chris's soft and sentimental side, and Chris admires Merry's tenacity. Unfortunately, Chris is under the impression that Meredith has a boyfriend. Once Merry clears up that she is single, their relationship begins to progress. Still, Meredith is a little concerned about crossing the employee-boss line. When Meredith has an accident at the house, Chris rescues her and nurses her back to health. Chris finally realizes how he feels about Meredith and tries to open up to her on Christmas-- Only to be interrupted by his parents' arrival. Christmas is an amazing success with Chris and his family, and Chris is smitten. However, when he gives her the check to pay her for her work, Meredith gets the wrong idea and leaves. It's up to Chris to let Meredith know exactly what is in his heart. One year later, Shea and Michael return to the Mediterranean and have a wedding where they first met, celebrating their Christmas nuptials surrounded by friends and family in a romantic paradise. Noelle has a soft spot for the old man and fetches him some gingerbread meant for the party. When she returns, he is gone without a trace. She searches the front of the shop, the sidewalk and finally the back, but he isn't there. Instead, Noelle meets a handsome young stranger, Tyler Jensen. Tyler is running the coffee shop, Cuppa Joe, for his sick uncle as he recovers from a heart attack. Tyler is immediately attracted to the shy Noelle. When Noelle returns to her shop, she finds a paintbrush on the counter with a tag reading, "To Noelle; Love Santa." Thinking its from her best friend Daphne, Noelle decides to give her new paintbrush a try. Time flies as Noelle paints, and she nearly misses her grand opening. Fortunately, Daphne and her family are able to get her ready in time and calm her nerves. Tyler ends up arriving well after the party is over, carrying a plate of cookies from his Aunt Vivienne. Interestingly enough, the cookies appear to be the exact cookies that Noelle painted earlier with the new paintbrush. Striking it off as a coincidence, Noelle allows Tyler to walk her home. The next morning, right before her brother Dylan's championship hockey game, Noelle paints a picture of Dylan scoring a goal and celebrating. At the hockey game, Dylan scores the winning goal and Noelle snaps a picture of the same pose. It is the second time that she painted something that came true, and confides in Tyler that she thinks the paintbrush is magic. Tyler convinces her to speak with Daphne about the brush. Daphne snaps her out of it, and makes Noelle realize that she has a true artistic gift that she needs to accept, rather than focusing on the gift from a stranger. Noelle finally accepts her artist gift and the magic within. Hannah has let her new agent get to her head and becomes a bit of a diva. Always finding the silver lining of any cloud, Cash comes up with the idea of turning Spring Lake Winery into a winter wonderland by creating a winter festival for the town. The crew, quarantined at their hotel nearby, is able to help remotely, guiding Hannah and Cash through the steps that they need to take for a successful episode. Unfortunately, Cash is stricken with a mysterious illness, leaving Hannah to carry all the weight of the project as well as nurse Cash back to health. Hannah discovers that her relationship with Cash is way more important to her than she ever though possible. Once Cash is healthy, Hannah lets him know how she really feels about him. In true Christmas spirit, the local community pitches in to create a fabulous Winter at the Winery Festival. Hannah and Cash grow closer, and Hannah finally drops her diva act and shows her true gratitude to the people that got her where she is to begin with. When St. Jerome’s Home for Children has a fire, the residents of Hope, NY open their homes to displaced foster children. Jessie McNeil (Jon Hacker) is a little less than thrilled when his father Joe (Al Pagano) takes in siblings Abigail (Allison Mullaney) and David (Robert Levey II). Eventually, with the help of his girlfriend Maggie (Taryn Hacker), Jessie grows fond of the children and talks to his dad about taking them in on a permanent basis. Unfortunately, Jessie’s ex-girlfriend Lucy (Cara Maria Sorbello) pays an unexpected visit after church. Jessie confides in his father that he wishes Lucy would leave and never come back, which Abigail overhears. Abby thinks that Jessie is talking about her, and runs away with her brother before the big Christmas party. Jessie organizes a search for the children. When he finds them, he lets them know how much he has grown to care about them in such a short time. Jessie and the children learn that family truly is the greatest gift of all.
