With the emergence of new technologies, changing patient needs, and increased demand for quality healthcare services, it is imperative that healthcare professionals remain up-to-date on the latest trends and advancements in the industry. This conference will provide an excellent platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and collaboration among all participants. The Conference proper begins on Day 1, 4 th June with my welcome address followed by the official opening by the Hon. Minister of Health Malaysia and the Keynote Address by the Director General of Health. We are indeed honoured to have the Minister of Health and the Director General of Health with us. For the first time, we have the APHM- MLSM Medicolegal Seminar on Day 2 rather than on Day 3 as done previously. This change came about following requests from our Nursing Colleagues who had been previously missing this Medicolegal Seminar which used to be held on Day 3 and at the same time as their Nursing Conference. Ladies, we are listening! Day 3 is a continuation of the main conference. It remains the sole voice of the Private Hospital Industry with a current membership of 158 private hospitals from Semenanjung Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak. Our association is recognised by the Ministry of Health and various Government bodies as the representative of the Private Hospital Sector as it has all of the hospital groups and standalone as its members. Needless to say, the Ministry of Health and other Government bodies have always looked upon and engaged with APHM in all matters concerning the provision of healthcare in the Nation. APHM has been successful in raising issues of concern with the Government to its members and the industry at large and with its support, has continued to play a very significant role in providing private hospital services to the Nation by promoting patient safety and good clinical governance in its member hospitals.
