We head into today's game at short notice, following the game being pulled in, mid week, with our original opposition in the FA cup. It's vital, with the nature of the world at the moment, we get as many games played while we can. We are thankful to the league for arranging the game and to Basford for accommodating us at such short notice. Last time out, we were delighted to see so much of what we have been working on, come out on a matchday. The team clicked against Loughborough and we played some of our most dominant spells of the season so far. With the ball we looked sharp and our defence set the tone with a solid foundation that allowed us to build the attack. Mel East had an incredible individual performance, & whilst we always like to talk about the team and not the individual, it is worth shouting about Mel as one of our Development Team graduates, who has come up and made such a brilliant impact to the squad this season. This season's Derby look somewhat different to last season and remain one of the lesser known challenges this campaign. We will look to build on the great performances of late and hope to put in another strong performance against our local rivals today! As always your continued support means a lot to us and we hope that you all enjoy the match today! #COYP Adam Dunleavy Manager Adam Dunleavy Manager's Notes ADunleavy 2 This week saw the arrival of the new Goalkeepers kit at Greenwich Avenue. Mel East was the talk of the town, netting 6 goals with 5 of them coming in the first half of the game. It took no longer than 3 minutes for East to find the net, quickly doubling her tally a minute later, before Loughborough had had time to settle from kick off. Notts dominance with the ball showed and East rounded the keeper again on 29 minutes to get her hat-trick and put Notts 3 goals to the good. A further 2 goals before half time took Notts in 5-0 at the break. NOTTS COUNTY Lo u ghboro u gh Fo x es V The team came out brihgt in the second half with Reed, back from illness, quick to make an impact. The ruthless striker made 6-0 with a great 1v1 finish after a line breaking ball from Zoe Meyrick saw Bella through. Reed hit the net again, this time after a 8 pass movement saw Notts recycle the ball, stretching the Vixens defence as Nya Chambers expertly played Bella Reed though to hit her second. East was not finished yet, and after having to come off the pitch to recieve attention for a clash, came back on and rounded off a double hat-trick and 8 goal win for the Black & White Army. Notts sit top of the table with an impressive +11 Goal difference after 2 games of the 20/21 season. L. Francis S. Brooks A. Holland J. Knott H. Fowler (c) I. Lee C. Taylor C. Hooley Z. Meyrick N. Juno work with women and families that have been the victims of domestic abuse, which saw figures increase over 25% during lockdown. Monies raised go to help Juno support their programmes and provide vital support to the people that need it the most. Manager Adam Dunleavy said.... "The work that Juno do really hit a cord with our players. The rise in calls to their helplines blew us away and we wanted to help in any small way we could. Not only have we raised some money for Juno but also look forward to working with them on a long term partnership that will see us mark the month of June as #JuneForJuno each year and continue to raise funds for them. The work they do in our community is unbelievable and we can't thank the staff enough for all they do" Please give Juno a follow on social media, to see the great work they do and join us in supporting their charity! Elle had trialled for Notts when Dunleavy & Woolley were re- launching the women's team at Notts in 2018 and had greatly impressed before opting for a place in the National League with Long Eaton United. Elle has a fantastic upbringing having come through the ranks at Nottingham Forest before injury cut her season short at Long Eaton. The midfielder suffered an ankle injury that would see her miss the bulk of the season in the National League before regaining her fitness and linking up with Dunleavy for the 20/21 campaign. Elle has already impressed in black & white with a dominant display in the FA cup, bringing both the skill and physicality the midfield needed to strengthen the squad. Elle will wear the #10 this season A R R I V A L S ELLE ROWSON "As soon as we learned that Elle was available, we were keen to get her tied down at the club. Since coming in she has brought a real combative spirit to the midfield and leaves everything on the pitch. When you can get a player who possesses skill and technique but also combines that with strength and power like Elle, you snap them up. We have been so impressed with Elle and her desire to get the best out of her performances and her approach in training. She can be hard on herself sometimes as she knows what she is capable of, but she is exactly what our midfield has been missing" POSITION CM 10 SIGNED FROM LONG EATON UTD NICKNAME ELL BACKGROUND MANAGER'S COMMENTS " " CRUMP DEORIO CRUMP DEORIO ROWSON DOWNES ROWSON DOWNES WILLIAMS MEYRICK WILLIAMS MEYRICK S U M M E R 2 0 2 0 I'm really happy to be here and to have signed for Notts. THE WIDER GAME @KitItOut Campaign #TakeAStand was launched earlier this week with Notts County Women FC pledging to take a stand against discrimination in football. Taken from the Kick it Out Website, below you can learn more about the campaign and follow the link to see how you can pledge to do your part! "We’re excited to announce the launch of our new campaign, Take A Stand. It is a call to action initiative, encouraging people across the football community to take an action or make a pledge, in the fight against discrimination. Take A Stand is a digital first campaign, driven largely through social media channels where we’ll be inviting individuals and organisations to publicly commit to their own pledge. The initiative marks a new chapter in the fight against discrimination in football, which will give fans the confidence, the tools and the means to confront discrimination and make a change. We want Take A Stand to be an advocate for change - it is a movement which everyone can play a part in." www.kickitout.org 11 East Midlands Women's Football League Division 1 North DEVELOPMENT TEAM Chesterfield FC Women Grimsby Town FC Women Grimsby Borough Ladies SJR of Worksop Women FC Lincoln United Women FC Cleethorpes Town Ladies Sleaford Town Ladies 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 P W D L F A PTS 6 6 6 6 6 3 0 0 0 2 2 0 0 10 1 2 2 0 0 7 1 3 2 0 1 8 4 2 2 0 0 5 2 3 2 0 1 6 4 1 1 0 0 17 1 1 0 0 1 2 3 1 0 0 0 1 2 1 0 0 0 0 3 ONE TO WATCH| HEATHER KEITH AGE 22 PREVIOUS CLUBS PRIDE PARK FC POSITION CB MANAGER TOM HODGES 13 DEVELOPMENT TEAM APPEARANCES 0 DEVELOPMENT TEAM GOALS MANAGER'S COMMENTS " HEATHER IS A GREAT PRO WITH A LEADERS ATTITUDE.
