We head into today's game at short notice, following the game being pulled in, mid week, with our original opposition in the FA cup. It's vital, with the nature of the world at the moment, we get as many games played while we can. We are thankful to the league for arranging the game and to Basford for accommodating us at such short notice. Last time out, we were delighted to see so much of what we have been working on, come out on a matchday. The team clicked against Loughborough and we played some of our most dominant spells of the season so far. With the ball we looked sharp and our defence set the tone with a solid foundation that allowed us to build the attack. Mel East had an incredible individual performance, & whilst we always like to talk about the team and not the individual, it is worth shouting about Mel as one of our Development Team graduates, who has come up and made such a brilliant impact to the squad this season. This season's Derby look somewhat different to last season and remain one of the lesser known challenges this campaign. We will look to build on the great performances of late and hope to put in another strong performance against our local rivals today! As always your continued support means a lot to us and we hope that you all enjoy the match today! #COYP ADunleavy Adam Dunleavy Manager 2 PARTNERS The amazing work that we do across our senior section would not be possible without the support of our partners. Juno work with women and families that have been the victims of domestic abuse, which saw figures increase over 25% during lockdown. Monies raised go to help Juno support their programmes and provide vital support to the people that need it the most. Manager Adam Dunleavy said.... "The work that Juno do really hit a cord with our players. The rise in calls to their helplines blew us away and we wanted to help in any small way we could. Not only have we raised some money for Juno but also look forward to working with them on a long term partnership that will see us mark the month of June as #JuneForJuno each year and @junowomensaid continue to raise funds for them. The work they do in our community is unbelievable and we can't thank the staff enough for all they do" Please give Juno a follow on social media, to see the great work they do and join us in supporting their charity! 7 TABLE & STATS DIVISION 1 SOUTH P W D L F A PTS Top Scorers 1 Notts County FC Women 2 2 0 0 11 0 6 1. Elle had trialled for Notts when Dunleavy & Woolley were re- COMMENTS launching the women's team at Notts in "As soon as we learned that Elle was 2018 and had greatly impressed before available, we were keen to get her tied opting for a place in the National League down at the club. Since coming in she has with Long Eaton United. Elle has a fantastic brought a real combative spirit to the upbringing having come through the ranks midfield and leaves everything on the at Nottingham Forest before injury cut her pitch. Taken from the Kick it Out Website, below you can learn more about the campaign and follow the link to see how you can pledge to do your part! "We’re excited to announce the launch of our new campaign, Take A Stand. It is a call to action initiative, encouraging people across the football community to take an action or make a pledge, in the fight against discrimination. Take A Stand is a digital first campaign, driven largely through social media channels where we’ll be inviting individuals and organisations to publicly commit to their own pledge. The initiative marks a new chapter in the fight against discrimination in football, which will give fans the confidence, the tools and the means to confront discrimination and make a change. We want Take A Stand to be an advocate for change - it is a movement which everyone can play a part in." www.kickitout.org 11 DEVELOPMENT TEAM East Midlands Women's Football League Division 1 North P W D L F A PTS 1 Chesterfield FC Women 2 2 0 0 10 1 6 2 Grimsby Town FC Women 2 2 0 0 7 1 6 3 Grimsby Borough Ladies 3 2 0 1 8 4 6 4 Lincoln Moorlands Railway LFC 2 2 0 0 5 2 6 5 SJR of Worksop Women FC 3 2 0 1 6 4 6 6 Lincoln United Women FC 1 1 0 0 17 1 3 7 Cleethorpes Town Ladies 1 0 0 1 2 3 0 8 Arnold Eagles FC Women 1 0 0 0 1 2 0 9 Notts County Women FC Dev 1 0 0 0 0 3 0 10 Sleaford Town Ladies 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 11 Sherwood FC Women 1 0 0 1 1 6 0 ONE TO WATCH| HEATHER KEITH POSITION AGE CB 22 MANAGER PREVIOUS CLUBS TOM HODGES PRIDE PARK FC 13 DEVELOPMENT TEAM APPEARANCES 0 DEVELOPMENT TEAM GOALS MANAGER'S COMMENTS "HEATHER IS A GREAT PRO WITH A LEADERS ATTITUDE.
